Tang Ancestral Hall, Ping Shan, New Territories, Hong Kong
It is one of the largest ancestral halls in the territory.
It was constructed by Tang Fung-shun, the fifth generation ancestor of Tang Clan about 700 years ago. It is the main ancestral hall of the Tang clan of Ping Shan. It is a three-hall structure with two internal courtyards. The wooden brackets and beams of the three halls are carved with auspicious Chinese motifs. Shiwan dragon-fish and pottery unicorns decorate the main ridges and roofs.
There are ancestral tablets at the altar at the rear hall.
This ancestral hall is still used regularly for worship and celebrations of traditional festivals and ceremonies, as well as a meeting place for the Tang clan of Ping Shan.

Jagat Karana Temple is a place of worship for Hindus that residing in Surabaya. This temple was first inaugurated by the Chief of Staff Commodore V, KODAMAR Laut R. Sahiran on 29 November 1969, that was exactly on the day of Saraswati.
This temple is situated on the road Lumba-lumba road, No. 1 Surabaya. Above the temple is written an inscription reads:

The 9 Principles of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival:
1. Wear white clothes during the whole festival
2. Do not eat meat or animal products (milk, eggs, etc.)
3. Keep your body clean
4. Do not drink alcohol
5. Do not lie, cheat or steal
6. No sexual activity during the festival
7. Do not eat food with a strong smell (garlic)
8. Keep and wash cooking utensils separately from those used in the event
0. Mourners should not attend the festival
The Phuket Vegetarian Festival is the largest celebration of its kind in Thailand.
Known as the Nine Emperor Gods Festival -- the celebration is nine days of nonstop food and ceremonies; it is also called Jiya Chai, or เทศกาลกินเจ.

The ceremonies include walking on fire, climbing ladders made of sharp blades, and self-mutilation or inserting knives and sharp objects through the body. But, these rituals were not allowed this year due to the pandemic.
Ironically, the festival started 200 years ago because there was an epidemic. People were dying and getting sick. After 9 days of honoring the 9 gods with cleansing and purifying rituals, people were cured! This includes no eating animal products and no drinking alcohol.

🔻 The festival is a Taoist celebration and celebrated primarily in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand by the Peranakans.
🔻 Peranakan refers to mixed Chinese and Malay/Indonesian heritage — ancestors were Chinese traders who married local women.
🔻 Phuket’s population is 50% Peranakan
🔻 Peranakan culture is known for its cuisine, also known as nonya food after the ladies who cook it.
🔻 Peranakan cuisine has strong Malay and Indonesian influences, which can be seen in the use of rempah (spices) and coconut milk.

According to the latest statistics, SNIEC received a total of 124,953 visits, while SWEECC had 38,011 visits, exceeding expectation; the net number of domestic visitors was 111,511, an increase of 4.8% over 2019.
With the COVID epidemic, overseas visitors of Furniture China 2020 and its online version, Digital Trade Show, reached 11,268 which are from 136 countries and regions, with
• 9,446 people registered and subscribed for DTS
• over 386,000 visits of dts.furniture-china.cn
• Among these, Asia accounted for 49.25%, the Americas 20.84%, Europe 14.79%, Africa 12.36%, Oceania 2.33%, and others 0.43%.
In the face of difficulties in entering the country, there were 1,822 visitors attended onsite, and they can be described as hardcore fans of both Furniture China and Maison Shanghai.
