Tamao Mountain Temple at Takeo Province | Cambodia Travel Guide
We're on the way from Phnom Penh to Tamao Mountain Zoological Park, Pagoda, and Temple. We only visit Phnom Tamao Temple on a 30meter high mountain at Trapeang Sap village & commune, Bati district, Takeo province. The distance from Phnom Penh via National Road 2 is 36km. and from Takeo downtown is 51km. This temple built from sandstone and brick during 11th century of Angkorian time. I've been to Phnom Tamao Zological parks few time but it's my first time visit this temple. Drone shot of Tamao mountain pagoda and temple is beautiful.

Phnom Da, Takeo, Cambodia
(Khmer: ភ្នំដា) Phnom Da is the name of the mount to the south of the town of Angkor Borei. Currently, two temples still remain standing on this mount, and several caves have been found around its base. The principal temple, now known as Phnom Da temple, was built in the 11th century on foundations remaining from the Funan period. On the northeast slope of the mount is another temple named Asram Maha Rosei. It is a temple built of unusual material for Khmer construction. A very hard basalt stone has only been used in two temples in Cambodia, and it is one of a very few temples in Cambodia that has an internal “womb” (Garbhagṛha) where the priests (Pujari) go inside to make ceremonial actions.

Cambodia is a fantastic tourist attraction for numerous reasons, one of the most popular being that not many other countries offer so much, while still having its culture on display.
Cambodia is very underrated as a tourism destination, as it has so much to offer with its prehistoric temples, unexplored forests, beautiful beaches, and amazing wildlife.
In this video, we give you an insight into the 10 Amazing Waterfalls of Cambodia!
1. Ka Choung Waterfall.
This spectacular waterfall is surrounded by lush green forrest.
You will find quite a few small villages and towns nearby.
It is a bit of a trek to get there, but it is well worth the effort.
This waterfall has a wide flow that will impress.
It is one of the most popular waterfalls in Cambodia.
2. K'bal Spean.
This waterfall is a fantastic way to enjoy nature while checking out the prehistoric stone carvings which you will see along the river.
This waterfall is not one of the larger waterfalls in Cambodia but it's still the best waterfall in Siem Reap.
The path leading up to the waterfall itself is very interesting. If you visit during the heat of the day, there is plenty of shade.
3. Phnom Kulen.
The Phnom Kulen park has a beautiful waterfall that is surrounded by dense forest.
This waterfall and surrounding area have a lot of ancient history.
After experiencing this waterfall you can visit the temples and small shops in the area.
4. Tatai Waterfall.
This is one of the more famous waterfalls in Cambodia.
You can make your way there by a local tuk-tuk or in a boat.
It’s only a 2 km stroll into the jungle to experience this waterfall.
It's not a large waterfall, but does have a cascade of water that does produce a powerful force.
You will find a peaceful ambience at this waterfall.
5. Katieng Waterfall.
Katieng is very impressive waterfall!
The waterfall itself is powerful and caves have formed on either side of it.
Another fantastic thing to do is check out the beautiful elephant that lives there.
6. K'bal Chhay Waterfall.
There are swing chairs where you can sit and just enjoy the view.
You can have a picnic on the balconies or just relax.
The water is clean, and you can have a swim here.
This waterfall is even better after it rains as the river flows.
7. Bousra Waterfall.
The Bousra waterfall is a fantastic place to have a picnic while you enjoy the waterfall.
You can go exploring on the other side to the jungle and get a completely different view of this beautiful waterfall.
You can even go zip lining across the waterfall if you are feeling brave.
It’s one of the biggest waterfalls in all of Cambodia.
8. Ka Chanh Waterfall.
There is a suspension bridge that takes you to this waterfall and it's surrounded by dense jungle.
There is lots of greenery and you will see rubber plantations on the way.
There is a lovely picnic area for you to enjoy.
9. Popokvil Waterfall.
This is one of the popular waterfalls in Kampot Cambodia and is situated on Bokor mountain.
The best time to visit is the rainy season when you will see the waterfall at its best.
You can’t swim here but, there are some spots where you can relax and cool off.
10. Ou’Sean Lair Waterfall.
This waterfall isn’t just one big waterfall, the water cascades over many smaller and larger areas.
You can swim here and you may even meet some of the locals as well.
The water is clean, and you get a great view of the waterfalls as soon as you arrive.
So, there you have it, 10 Amazing waterfalls of Cambodia.

National Road 2 & Rural Village Path in Takeo Province
Traveling on National Road 2 after Daun Keo town in Takeo Province to Treang District and turn left into the rural village path into the village called Krang Sbek Village, Prambey Mom Commune.

Tonle Bati Attraction in Takeo Province
A beautiful place to visit on the weekend as they have beautiful cottages built on the beach of a big Bati river and a street food market with freshly grilled fishes, chicken, rice, sugarcane juice and so much more. It's just about 15km. from Phnom Penh city via National Road 2 in Takeo Province.

Phnom Chisor, Takeo, Cambodia
Phnom Chisor (Khmer: ភ្នំជីសូរ, Phnum Chisor [pʰnom ciːsoː]; Chisor Mountain) is a 133-metres high mountain in Dok Por village, Rovieng commune, Samraŏng District, Takéo Province, Cambodia. It lies about 42 km south of Phnom Penh. The Ministry of Culture and Fine Art are preparing documents to nominate the site in the list of UNESCO world heritage.

Put Kiri Mountain at Takeo Province Cambodia
A beautiful mountain with 84000 buddha statues, a tourism site that people like to visit on the weekend. It's called Wat Put Kiri Kampuchea or Put Kiri Mountain Cambodia located at Trapeang Skea village, Trapeang Kranhong Commune, Tramkak District, Takeo Province of Cambodia. There's also a street food market selling grilling chicken, stuffed frog, grilled fish, fruits, cake, sugarcane juice and so much more.

Takeo, Cambodia Guesthouses and view of the Canal
Takeo city in Cambodia is one of my favorite places. Here, you can stay at the Phnom Da or Sovann Theary Guesthouses for only US$10/night and have a lovely view of the canal and rice fields. Wonderful meals can be eaten just steps away at the Stoeung Takeo Restaurant - a plate of prawns for only $2.00. A wonderful place to relax after volunteering all day in the surrounding villages building schools or giving out Rotary Wheels for Learning Bicycles.

Beautiful Place To Visit On Weekend | Tonle Bati Resort
It's about 32Km. from Phnom Penh which we can spend a day trip with friends and family to visit and relax on the weekend. There's a big lake with many bamboo shacks on the beach for tourists to sit, relax, eat food, and enjoy the wonderful view of the river and nature. We can go shopping and buy cheap foods from the food market like grilled chicken, grilled fishes, grilled frogs, fried crabs, fried snails, palm juice, palm fruits and so much more. It's don't know where to go on the weekend. I would love to recommend Tonle Bati resort to you. You will love it.

Sen Roveang Temple known as Sen Phou Veang Temple at Takeo Province
On the way from Samrong Yong Market along National Road No.2 to Phnom Chisor Temple at Takeo Province, but our destination is Sen Roveang Temple known as Sen Phou Neang temple about 1600m east of Chisor Mountain Temple. This temple was built of laterite, bricks, and sandstone. It's located at Dok Por Village, Roveang Commune, Samrong District, Takeo Province in Cambodia.
