Top 10 things to see on Cebu, Philippines this year
Cebu is located to the east of Negros, to the west of Leyte and Bohol islands. The province consists of Cebu Island, as well as 167 smaller islands, which include Mactan, Bantayan, Malapascua, Olango and the Camotes Islands. But the highly urbanized cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue are independent cities.
Cebu Island itself is long and narrow, stretching 196 kilometres (122 mi) from north to south and 32 kilometres (20 mi) across at its widest point. It has narrow coastlines, limestone plateaus and coastal plains. It also has rolling hills and rugged mountain ranges traversing the northern and southern lengths of the island.
Cebu's highest mountains are over 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) high. Flat tracts of land can be found in the city of Bogo and in the towns of San Remigio, Medellin and Daanbantayan at the northern region of the province.
Cebu City, officially the City of Cebu (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Sugbo; Filipino: Lungsod ng Cebu), is the capital city of the province of Cebu and is the second city of the Philippines being the center of Metro Cebu, the second most populous metropolitan area in the Philippines after Metro Manila. Cebu is a 1st city income class highly urbanized city where political governance is independent and separate from the province of Cebu, and according to the 2015 census, it has a population of 922,611, making it the fifth most populated city in the country. Cebu City is a significant center of commerce, trade and education in the Visayas region.
The city is located on the mid-eastern side of Cebu island. It is the first Spanish settlement, the country's oldest city, and the first capital of the Philippines. It is considered as the Fount of Christianity in the Far East.
Cebu is the Philippines' main domestic shipping port and is home to about 80% of the country's domestic shipping companies. Cebu City is bordered to the northeast by Mandaue and the town of Consolacion, to the west are Toledo City, and the towns of Balamban and Asturias, to the south are Talisay City and the town of Minglanilla. Across Mactan Strait to the east is Mactan Island.
It is the center of a metropolitan area called Metro Cebu, which includes the cities of Carcar, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Naga and Talisay; and the municipalities (towns) of Compostela, Consolacion, Cordova, Liloan, Minglanilla and San Fernando. Metro Cebu has a total population of 2,849,213.

BEST NEIGHBORHOODS IN CEBU
Several developments in Cebu are considered “trendy” or “cool” and are usually located near commercial centers and have easy access to everything.
Cebu IT Park - has first-world standards like sidewalks, proper-sized roads, coffee shops, restaurants, condos, and a new mall.
Many employees in the IT Park area work at business processing companies and call centers servicing the United States and Europe. Workers are coming on and off of shifts around the clock, so many restaurants are open 24 hours a day. With this, there is a well-educated group of English-speaking professionals in the area, making it easy to make Filipino friends.
Cebu Business Park (CBP) is home to several multinational businesses, residential condos, hotels, and the Ayala Center shopping mall, which draws 85,000 visitors on an average day.
CBP is the single largest urban development project in the Philippines outside of Manila.

Cebu is a known destination in not just to do business but to travel!
Here are some of stunning tourist spots that locals and foreign tourists love to visit.
1. Kawasan Falls - located in Barangay Matutinao in the town of Badian, Cebu.
2. Magellan’s Cross - is housed in a small chapel located near the Basilica Minore Del Sto. Nino on Magallanes Street (Magallanes being the Spanish name of Magellan), Cebu City, right in front of the Cebu City Hall.
3. Fort San Pedro - It is located in the area now called Plaza Independencia, in the pier area of the city
4. Cebu Taoist Temple - located in Beverly Hills Subdivision of Cebu City, Philippines
5. Bantayan Island - is an island located in the Visayan Sea, Philippines. It is situated to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, across the Tañon Strait
6. Temple of Leah - located at Landon Heights Roosevelt, Busay, Cebu City
7. Sumilon Island - is located to the south of Cebu in the waters of the Cebu strait

I Hiked the LEAST-KNOWN Mountain in Cebu Philippines 🇵🇭 | Mt. Kalbasaan in Minglanilla
Mt. Kalbasaan (or Calbasaan) is one of the popular hiking trails and tourist spots near Cebu City. It's located in the Northern Minglanilla, a few kilometres away from Cebu-Toledo Highway.
In this vlog, I hiked Mt. Kalbasaan Trail from Manduang and exited from Camp 7 and headed to Camp 8 for late lunch.
Although the hiking trail that I walked may be a bit long for beginners, you can overlook the beautiful cityscapes of Metro Cebu from its peak. If you don't want to walk, you can drive up to Mt. Kalbasaan by motorcycle, but please noted that the road is partially unpaved.
