Suining, alias Doucheng, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, a regional center of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone, a modern industrial base of Sichuan Province, a modern ecological garden city featuring the culture of nurturing the heart, located in the middle of Sichuan Basin, with Chengdu in the west, Chongqing, Guang'an and Nanchong in the east, Neijiang and Ziyang in the south, Deyang and Mianyang in the north, and Chengdu and It is in an equidistant triangle with Chengdu and Chongqing. It is located in the main axis of urbanization development in Sichuan, and is one of the six metropolitan areas strategically deployed by Sichuan Province, an important part of Chengdu Economic Circle and Chengdu Plain City Cluster. The city was founded in 1985 and is known as the Great Town of Dongchuan, the important town in Sichuan and the state of literary sages; it has nurtured Chen Zi'ang, Wang Zhuo, Huang E, Zhang Peng and many others. It is also the hometown of Chinese Guanyin culture; Lingquan Temple, built in Sui Dynasty, and Guangde Temple, built in Tang Dynasty, have been the royal meditation forest and the place of Guanyin pilgrimage in China. It has the Chinese Dead Sea, Song Porcelain Museum, Longfeng Ancient Town and other cultural landscapes.
In July 2020, the National Council for Love and Health confirmed Suining City as a National Sanitary City in 2019.

Suining City - Let Your Heart Be On Holidays
1. History
Suining, as Deyang County in 200 AD, renamed as Suining in 347 AD and established as provincial city in 1985, has been a political, economic and cultural center in Sichuan.
2. Location
Suining is located at 105°12′26″to 106°59′49″east longitude and 30°10′50″to 31°10′50″north latitude in the middle reach of Fujiang River in central Sichuan and is 140 km away from Chengdu and Chongqing respectively.
3. Climate
Suining has a subtropical zone climate with wet monsoon. The annual average temperature is 17.4 ℃ . There is no frost for 300 days a year and the annual precipitation is 927.6mm.
4. Administrative Division
Suining city governs Chuanshan district, Anju district, She Hong county, Peng Xi county and Da Ying county, covering an area of 5300 sq km. and supporting a population of 38.2 million people. The urban area of the city is 43 sq km , supporting a population of 460,000 people.
5. Public Utilities
There is an institution of higher education and 1610 schools of various levels containing more than 660.000 students in the city. An educational system composed of higher learning, elementary education, vocational training, and adult reeducation has been established.
The city has 1 national third grade class A hospital, 1 third grade class B hospital, 3 second grade A hospital and 3 second grade B.

It is adjacent to Hechuan District and Tongliang District in the east, Dazu District in the south, Anyue County in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, Anju District in Suining City, Sichuan Province, and Funsan District in Suining City, Sichuan Province, and Pengxi County in Suining City, Sichuan Province, and Wusheng County in Guang'an City, Sichuan Province, in the north, and Jialing District in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province.
Tongnan District covers an area of 1,583 square kilometers and has 3 streets and 20 towns; according to the seventh census, as of November 1, 2020, Tongnan District had a resident population of 688,115. Bazhong, a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, is located in the northeastern part of the Sichuan Basin, at the southern foot of the Micang Mountains in the Daba Mountain System, south of the north-south boundary of the Qinling-Huai River in China, adjacent to Dazhou in the east, Nanchong in the south, Guangyuan in the west, and Hanzhong in Shaanxi Province in the north, and is a typical mountainous area around the basin, with a high topography in the north and a low topography in the south, sloping from north to south; it has a subtropical humid monsoon climate with four distinct seasons; the regional area is 12,300 square kilometers , with 2 districts and 3 counties under its jurisdiction.
