I travel through Bukovina, with some misadventures in trying to find a place to stay. I visit Voronet Monastery, sleep in my rental car, and try to see Suceavita, but fail, then climb a modest little mountain. Maybe in that order.

In this video I'm going to share with you the best cities to visit in Romania, the country where I was born, from my personal experience.
I've been exploring Romanian places since I was a little girl, but the area that I've explored the most is in the north, especially the Bucovina area. I was born in Suceava, so almost yearly I went to some place close to it that was very beautiful, for example Rarau, Palma or monasteries. I think this is one of the most beautiful regions in Romania.
I've also explored more of Romania too, when I grew up more. I've been to Brasov around 3 times, Sibiu 4 or 5 times, for example.

Romania is a fascinating country in Eastern Europe, with beautiful landscapes, a rich history, and a lively culture. From the tall Carpathian Mountains to the pretty countryside and old towns, Romania has a little something for everyone.
One famous place in Romania is Bran Castle, which some people connect with the story of Dracula. Another impressive castle is Peleș Castle in Sinaia, known for its fancy design and beautiful rooms. You should also visit the painted monasteries of Bucovina, where the walls are covered in colorful paintings showing religious stories.
In the capital city, Bucharest, there are many interesting buildings to see. The Palace of the Parliament is a big, impressive place and one of the largest buildings in the world. Bucharest also has a lot of theaters, museums, and cafes where you can enjoy the arts and a good cup of coffee.
If you travel outside the city, you'll find lovely countryside villages where time seems to move more slowly. Transylvania is a famous region known for its medieval towns like Brasov and Sibiu. The old walls, narrow streets, and pretty squares give these places a special charm.
Nature lovers will be amazed by the beauty of Romania. The Danube Delta is a unique place where the river meets the Black Sea, creating a special habitat for plants and animals. Retezat National Park and Maramureș are also worth a visit, with their stunning mountains and green fields.
Food in Romania is delicious and reflects the country's history. You have to try sarmale, which are rolls made of cabbage and filled with meat, rice, and spices. Mămăligă is a traditional dish made of cornmeal, similar to polenta, and it's often served with cheese. For dessert, papanasi is a tasty treat, like doughnuts with a cheese filling.
Romanians are friendly and proud of their culture. Folklore, music, and festivals are an important part of their traditions and celebrations, and you'll get a chance to experience these lively customs firsthand.

The museum of the Bucovina village - Suceava - Romania
The Museum of the Bucovina Village is an open-air museum in the city of Suceava, which highlights the popular cultural-architectural heritage of Bucovina. Founded in the 1970s, the museum has seen major development and expansion since the 1990s, and now has a number of over 30 objectives: traditional wooden houses, household outbuildings, popular technical installations, craft workshops, community construction. It is located in the eastern part of Suceava, on Parcului Street, near the Suceava Seat Fortress, Pacea Cemetery and Șipote-Cetate Park.
The Museum of the Bucovina Village has been included on the List of historical monuments in Suceava County since 2004, having the classification code SV-IV-s-B-05694.
