Scenic West Sweden - Bohuslän road trip across Stenungsön, Tjörn, Orust & Gustafsberg in Uddevalla
This is our (HereWeGo) scenic road trip from Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) across the many Islands of Södra Bohuslän region. In this vlog, we started our drive from Gothenburg on E6 highway towards Oslo and exited the highway on the scenic road 160 towards Stenungsund. One will right away start noticing the beautiful sea inlets along the road side with hundreds of Islets and Islands from the car. This road will take you island hopping across the islands of Stenungsön, Tjörn, Orust & Vindön and eventually crossing road 161, which will take you to the city of Uddevalla, where we will visit the beautiful & historical bathing/spa district of Gustafsberg. The entire road trip is a very scenic stretch with amazing viewpoints at Tjörnbron rastplats, Skåpesunds rastplats and Såten rastplats. These rastplats with gorgeous views are ideal places for picnic. So do pack a picnic basket along. Do also take a detour from the road 160 on the island of Vindön. You will not regret this small drive with gorgeous scenery. This is a small circular road which will lead you back to the road 160 again to continue your beautiful drive towards Uddevalla. Do enjoy a fika at the charming Konditori Snäckan in Gustafsberg in Uddevalla.
All in all this is a full day road trip even though the drive itself is no more than 2 hours, you will definitely spent the rest of the time picnicking and taking photos at the scenic spots along the way.

Kungälv is a small but beautiful little town on the outskirts of Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish). The town has a Medieval Fortress named Bohus Fästning and a charmingly beautiful Old Town street named Västragatan. The fortress and the street are a must visit from Gothenburg. The old town cobblestone street is lined with old and beautiful wooden houses decorated with blooming flowers in spring & summer, while the autumn month brings dazzling & blazing colors to the trees and bushes along the street. Here we have captured this other worldly beauty of autumn colors on Västragatan in Kungälv. Visiting Västragatan in Kungälv during autumn is a must experience. Kungälv is an easy 20 minutes drive from Gothenburg by car or public bus.

Top 10 WINTER Things To Do in Stockholm | December to March
Stockholm is a beautiful city in the summer, but many people want to experience it in winter as well. What is there to do in Stockholm in winter?
In this video I present the top 10 things to do if you're visiting Stockholm between December and March. Snow is not guaranteed, but it will definitely be cold, so make sure you dress appropriately for the season!
The things listed, including the various places I mention, are the following:
- Ice skating in Kungsträdgården, a very centrally located park
- Skiing at Hammarbybacken, which you can reach by tram from Gullmarsplan
- Check out the viewpoint at Monteliusvägen, on Södermalm. You can walk there from Slussen. Also, I mention Skinnarviksberget - it lies a 10 minute walk to the west of Monteliusvägen
- Rent a sauna and take an icy plunge at Hellasgården. Website:
- Winter kayaking at Vaxholm. Website:
- Walk in one of the many parks in Stockholm. This video shows you clips from Rålambshovsparken and Kronobergsparken, and I mention Vasaparken, Humlegården, Tantolunden and Royal Djurgården as well
- Swedish fika is a great thing on a cold winter's day! Especially if you're here around semla season. I'm showing you the centrally located cafe Vete-Katten. Website:
- Warming up at a spa is highly recommended. The places I mention include Centralbadet, The Nest, Selma City Spa and Yasuragi
- A tour to the archipelago in winter. The two biggest boat companies are Waxholmsbolaget ( and Strömma (
- Finally, I of course have to recommend visiting Stockholm around Christmas time! In the video I mention Christmas markets at Gamla stan and Skansen, as well as animatronic displays outside of the NK shopping centre. Road trip to Hälleviksstrand, an Orust Gem on the Swedish West Coast
This weekend we made a short road trip to a small community close by called Hälleviksstrand. Sometimes it´s not about the length of your journey or even the struggle to get there. Instead it´s all about who will be there by your side to share the experience. This place will always have a special place in our heart since it´s the place for our wedding!
This church is really amazing, it was opened in 1904 and is all made in wood which is quite unique in Sweden.
