CHAPEL ST LEONARDS | A full tour of seaside holiday resort Chapel St Leonards near Skegness
CHAPEL ST LEONARDS is a charming seaside holiday resort village located near Ingoldmells and between Skegness and Mablethorpe in Lincolnshire, England. It's a perfect destination for a relaxing family holiday with beautiful beaches, traditional seaside fun, and a laid-back atmosphere.
Here are the top 3 reasons why you should consider Chapel St Leonards for your next UK holiday:
Gorgeous Beaches: The golden sands and sparkling waters of Chapel St Leonards' beaches are the main attraction. There are two main beaches, Wolla Bank and Chapel Point, both with clean sands and shallow waters, perfect for paddling and sandcastle building. Wolla Bank even has a beach cafe and a pub, The Admiral Benbow, for refreshments after a day at the beach.
Traditional Seaside Fun: A trip to Chapel St Leonards wouldn't be complete without experiencing some classic British seaside fun. The Esplanade is lined with amusement arcades, complete with all the classic games like penny falls, grabber machines, and one-armed bandits. There's also Greens Amusements on The Pullover, which even has a ten-pin bowling alley for a bit of friendly competition.
Relaxing Atmosphere: Chapel St Leonards offers a slower pace of life compared to the hustle and bustle of some larger seaside resorts. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge, with plenty of space on the beach to relax and soak up the sun. There are also some lovely walks to be enjoyed along the coast or through the dunes.
Here are some bonus reasons to consider Chapel St Leonards for your holidays:
Great location: Chapel St Leonards is a short distance from the larger resort of Skegness, where you'll find even more attractions and amenities, including Skegness Aquarium, Natureland Seal Sanctuary, and Jump Warriors Trampoline Park.
Family-friendly: With its safe beaches, traditional amusements, and relaxed atmosphere, Chapel St Leonards is a great choice for families with young children.
Affordable: Compared to some other seaside resorts in the UK, Chapel St Leonards offers good value for money, making it a great option for a budget-friendly holiday.
I hope you enjoyed this CHAPEL ST LEONARDS walking tour. If so why not subscribe to my channel to see all the upcoming virtual walks and walking tours in all the new places I visit!

Exciting UK Destinations | Explore HASTINGS in East Sussex!
Hastings is a town on England's southeast coast. It's known for the 1066 Battle of Hastings, fought on a nearby field where Battle Abbey now stands. The Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, once home to William the Conqueror, overlook the English Channel. East along the shingle seafront of Stade beach, Hastings Fishermen's Museum and Shipwreck Museum document maritime history.
As for the Norman Conquests, Hastings is not the actual location of the famous battle in 1066. That exact spot is just a few miles down the road at Battle Abbey.
However, its legacy still colours the entire town. The remains of William the Conqueror's first English castle still stand today, though centuries of warfare and erosion have taken their toll.
Today the town offers a range of attractions for the short break visitor looking for what to do in Hastings. From Britain's steepest funicular, to the meandering alleyways of the Old Town, it's a great place to explore for a few days.
