Amazing Lampang 🐴 Part1 Northern Thailand
Tourists typically stop by for lunch and visit the more famous attractions such as Wat Phra That Lampang Luang and the Thai Elephant Conservation Center and then proceed to points further north such as Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai. Less well-known tourist attractions in Lampang are thus mostly visited by locals. Among these are the Wang Kaeo Waterfall and the Chae Son National Park, a compact park which combines a natural hot spring with large waterfalls.
Many temples in downtown Lampang were built in the Burmese -style, originally endowed by the logging tycoons of the late-19th century. Wat Si Bun Rueang, Wat Si Chum and Wat Pa Fang are among the extant examples. Nine of the 31 remaining Burmese-style temples in Thailand are in Lampang.[10] Traditional Lanna architecture can be found at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, on the site of ancient Lampang city. It is famous for its murals from the 19th century. The city seal features a white rooster in the temple's gate.
Wat Phra Kaeo Don Tao, on the west bank of the Wang River, is said to have housed the Emerald Buddha between 1436 and 1468. Wat Phra That Chedi Sao (The Temple of Twenty Chedis) is famous for its array of twenty pagodas. Other temples of some renown include Wat Phra That Chom Ping and Wat Lai Hin both in the Ko Kha District.
Mae Mo mine is a vast open pit lignite mine in the Mae Mo basin. The mine and the adjoining power generation facilities are operated by EGAT. The power plant is a major source of electric power for Thailand.
Lampang is known for its horse-drawn carriages, which were introduced in 1916 and remain popular with tourists.

Bangkok Canal Boat Tour (Pratunam Pier) คลองทัวร์ Pratunam
Bangkok Canal Boat Tour (Pratunam Pier) Pratunam
The most widely used public canal boats ply Khlong San Saeb, a murky canal shooting from near Democracy Monument in the Rattanakosin historic district all the way to Bangkok’s far eastern fringes. The boats run from dawn to around 20:00 (19:00 on Sat-Sun) and cost only 10 to 20 baht depending on how far you go.
Catching the San Saeb boats can be a little harrowing—prepare to climb over the outer edge as people quickly jump on and off in an example of controlled chaos that typifies Bangkok. Consider these boats the wilder cousins of the Chao Phraya River ferries. Once you’re on board, look for brave conductors walking around the outer rims of the boat to collect fares as fellow riders pull up plastic sheets to keep khlong water out of the boat. If you stand, watch your head when the roof is lowered so the boat can fit beneath bridges.

Glad I did I partook in some farang style comfort food, washed down with some soothing local Chang beers and all the time, enjoying that legendary Thai style service ... 😊✌️

Take a boat from MBK to ASOK(fee 10bath)
Take a boat from MBK CENTER to ASOK.
The fare is 10 baht.
From MBK Center, it takes about 5 minutes to walk to Hua Chang Pier.
Once there, you will have to transfer at Pratunam Pier.
Once you change trains at Pratunam Pier, show the ticket you bought to the crew.
There is no traffic jam and it is very comfortable.

Asok To Pratunam Market / Board the boat(11B)
There are several ways to get to Pratunam Market.
This time, I went to Market by boat.
The advantages are shorter walking distance and lower price.
From Petchaburi metro station go to Asok port and take a boat to Pratunam.
After about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Pratunam.
Be careful not to drop your phone or wallet when getting on and off.
