Welcome to the Jurassic Coast! In this video We are visiting the Top 10 landmarks and attractions throughout the Jurassic Coast that I would suggest to anyone visiting Dorset for the perfect Dorset holiday!
The Jurassic Coast is home to so many things to see and do including the famous Durdle Door and Lulworth cove as well as some lesser known gems, all that I will be showing you in this video! So join us as we adventure across the Jurassic Coast from the Old Harry rocks at it's most easterly point to the Incredible Isle of Portland at it's most westerly point!

🟪Weymouth is a popular seaside town for visitors, it includes a wide promenade and pedestrianised streets. We parked at the Swannery, which has toilets and the postcode is DT4 7TY. It has a busy harbour with a thriving fishing industry. ❤🐬
🟪West Bay is not far down the road from Bridport and shows you a part of the dramatic Jurassic coastline. East beach is dog friendly. We parked at DT6 4EL which included toilets❤.
🟪Portland & Chesil Beach 😎 – it is worth a drive to the top to get some amazing views of Chesil beach. A UNESCO coastline, with stones of up to 10,000 years old. It is dog friendly all year round 🐕.
🟪Lyme Regis a historic seaside resort, is also part of the Jurassic coast and provides some beautiful scenery. We parked near Monmouth beach, where dogs are allowed and there are toilets, the post code was DT7 3LW 😎❤
🟪Bridport is another local town with a bustling market each Wednesday and Saturday. 🎁

Join us on our trips day by day.
Sherborne is a market town and civil parish in north west Dorset, in South West England. It is sited on the River Yeo, on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, 6 miles (10 kilometres) east of Yeovil. The parish includes the hamlets of Nether Coombe and Lower Clatcombe. The A30 road, which connects London to Penzance, runs through the town. In the 2011 census the population of Sherborne parish and the two electoral wards was 9,523. 28.7% of the population is aged 65 or older.
Sherborne's historic buildings include Sherborne Abbey, its manor house, independent schools, and two castles: the ruins of a 12th-century fortified palace and the 16th-century mansion known as Sherborne Castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh. Much of the old town, including the abbey and many medieval and Georgian buildings, is built from distinctive ochre-coloured ham stone.

I just got back from the most incredible trip exploring Dorset, a stunning region in England, and I already can’t wait to go back.
I hadn’t heard of Dorset before this trip, and although it might be well known in the UK to us Canadians it’s definitely a hidden gem! It was really easy to get to… I just took a direct flight with @airtransat to London and then hopped on the train from there. 🚂✨
If you’re planning a trip to London you should definitely consider adding a visit to Dorset onto your trip!

Jurassic Coast Uk - Dorset's Stunning places Durdle Door/ Lulworth Cove/ Old Harry Rocks and more...
Jurassic Coast is the most beautiful coastline in the UK. It is filled with stunning scenery and rich in history dating back over 400 million years.
We start off the video with the white chalk cliffs at Old Harry Rocks and then take you to Corfe Castle where you can discover over 1000 years of history. We then move on to the most photographed attraction in all of Dorset and the Jurassic Coast, the famous Durdle Door. Just a 30 minute walk away we arrive at Lulworth Cove to explore a beautiful enclosed cove for swimming, boating tours and panoramic views of the ocean and Village.
We then arrive more in the centre of the Jurassic Coast at the Isle of Portland where we hike down to Church Ope Cove and the Portland Museum to find out more about the history through looking at fossils and artefacts all found on the Jurassic Coast.
Connected to the Isle of Portland and all the way to West Bay we look at the best places to visit along the 19 mile stretch known as Chesil Beach.
We then end up at the famous seaside town of Lyme Regis where we explore the beach, find fossils and walk along the famous harbour.
Ending the video we visit Budleigh Salterton Beach where we discover 440 million year old pebbles and sublime red sand cliff formations.

The most famous stone arch in the world 😍
Doing the hike up to Durdle Door and seeing it all of a sudden appear was something truly spectacular. It was the thing I was most excited to see in Dorset, and it didn’t disappoint!
Durdle Door is one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks. It is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and is an extremely popular photo spot (can you imagine how many engagement and wedding photos happen here?!).
It is located on the Lulworth Estate in south Dorset and is part of the Jurassic Coast. The coastline is of such international geological importance that it was designated England’s first natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001.
The magnificent natural limestone arch was formed when the power of the waves eroded the rock and forged a hole through the middle. The name Durdle is derived from an old English word ‘thirl’, which means to pierce, bore or drill.

Sherborne, Dorset - Aerial Drone Video
Sherborne is a beautiful town in Dorset outside of which I operate as a photographer and videographer when not shooting in London.
Located in the South West of England, Sherborne's Cheap Street and neighbouring streets are filled with welcoming independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
It is also a town filled with history. It is at Sherborne Abbey, featured in this aerial video, that both of King Alfred the Great's elder brothers are buried.
The Old Castle was destroyed in 1645 during the English civil war. In 1594 Sir Walter Raleigh built what is now known as Sherborne Castle which is featured in the opening sequence.
