Bin'gang Road in Shenjiamen is a place where locals take a walk after dinner. When night falls, the bright street lights illuminate the crowds coming and going. Be the truest self here. You can wear a vest and step on slippers, or you can fall in love. Unload the tiredness of the day, and laugh wantonly at the sea in the sea breeze.

Hailisheng Hotel - Zhoushan


The Zhoushan Hailisheng Hotel (Zhoushan Hailisheng Dajiudian) is conveniently located in China's biggest fishing port, Shenjiamen, and overlooks the sacred, Buddhist peak of Putuo Mountain. It is a mere five-minutes walk from sidewalk seafood snack-booths.

The hotel offers various deluxe rooms with imported Toto sanitary wares. Various restaurants are also available.

Dongji Island

Dongji Island, literally meaning the easternmost island, is home to many fishermen and has a scenic island landscape. Located at the eastern end of Zhoushan Archipelago, Dongji Island consists of 28 islands and 108 reefs. The clear sea around it is a living paradise for marine creatures. Taking a boat east from Shenjiamen Wharf, tourists will enjoy a myriad of colors from yellow to olivine, blackish green, blue-green, and azure blue.

All 150 rooms face Nansha Beach. Room types include standards, deluxe ocean-view rooms and deluxe ocean-view suites. Guests are limited to chess or cards when it comes to the recreation available indoors, but can find more to do nearby. Other facilities available to guests at this Zhoushan hotel include a Chinese restaruant, a lobby bar and a teahouse.

I drove in Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang, China on Oct 4, 2019. A very enjoyable driving trip!
Zhoushan, a unique port and tourist city of China, lies at the southern flank of Yangtze River estuary and outer edge of Hangzhou Bay. It is regarded as “Buddhist Paradise on the Sea; also it is well known fo its fishery.
Zhoushan Islands is said to be the largest islands along China's coastline, covering a total area of 22,000 km², of which an area of 20,800 km² is sea. It features in fascinating islands landscapes. It is a group of over 400 islands off the northern coast of Zhejiang province. Among those islands, Zhoushan Island is the largest one, and it is the fourth largest island of China.
These islands were initially brought under regular Chinese administration in the 8th century, after which they were administered from Shanghai on the mainland. The significance of these islands were that they provided excellent harbours for the flourishing trade linking Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, and the Zhejiang ports of Ningbo as well as Hangzhou.
The main attractions of the Zhoushan Islands are:
• Zhujiajian Island: The fifth largest island in Zhoushan Islands, it has the fame The Oriental Hawaii;
• Putuo Mountain: China's One of the Four Holy Buddhist Mountains;
• Shenjiamen fishing port: China's largest Marine fishing port, has Zhoushan's largest seafood;
• Taohua Island: a famous scenic spot collecting the sea, mountains, stones, rocks, holes, temples, flowers, forest, birds, military sites, historical memorially, moya carved stone, myths and legends, etc...;
• Dinghai: a famous and unique historic and cultural town in China.
