Shahrood شاهرود، is a city and capital of Shahrood County, Semnan Province, Iran.
It is also well known for unique types of grapes that are cultivated especially in Shahrud. Consequently, Shahrood is known as the City of Grapes.
Nestled in the arms of the city of Shahrud in the semi-arid province of Semnan, off the road to Azadshahr toward the greener parts of the country, the forest’s clouds are so close to the trees and the settling clouds are so thick that it seems you are walking on them.
Passing through the gardens in #Bastam, near Shahrud, one can see the clouds over the mountains and along the 4,000-meter Shahvar Mount as if they have been trapped in the sharp claws of the mountain, a scene which tells us the dreamy cloud forest is not far away.

1-Damavand mountain
Mount Damavand, a potentially active volcano 5600-m high, is a stratovolcano which is the highest peak in Iran and the highest volcano in Asia. Damāvand has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. It is in the middle of the Alborz range, adjacent to Varārū, Sesang, Gol-e Zard, and Mīānrūd. Elevation: 5,610 m
2-Badab-e surt
Badab Soort is a natural site in Mazandaran Province in northern Iran, 95 kilometres south of the city of Sari, and 7 kilometres west of Orost village.

3-Cloud forest
Jangal-e Abr (literary meaning Cloud Forest) is one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in Iran. It is the continuum of northern forests in the south of Alborz mountain range.
It is called cloud forest because in most seasons it is covered by an ocean of clouds and fog. Inside the thick forests, you cannot believe that you are in Semnan province, not far from Iran’s Central Desert and Khar Turan National Park, a biosphere reserve. Right there you will realize why Shahrud is called “a small continent”.
4-Shahdad kaluts
Kalut, the largest cloddish city and the largest natural effects, in the Lut desert, is the unique desert complications. The Kalut is said to a sand mountain created by the effect of the dominant erosional agent in desert, i.e., wind making fascinating forms and shapes.
When suddenly an exotic earth structures to be seen in the Lut desert, and it continues as far as the eye can, it seems that you entered into a town. A town with no resident as if it is constructed for spirits. Therefore, this place is called an elf city. The area is known to be one of the Geothermal poles among geologists. Shahdad Kalut is the most beautiful natural phenomenon and most fascinating phenomena in the Iranian desert that there is nowhere in the world like that. The legendary Kalut city was created about 20 thousand years ago with water and wind erosion. There are 100 hectares of salt in egg shape in the Shahdad desert that there is nowhere in the world like that. There is no life in the area of 30 thousand kilometers at the heart of Lut.
5-Jashak salt dome
Jashak salt dome, «in Persian: Kuh-e-Namak » means mountain of salt in the Zagros Mountains, in southwestern Iran. this salt dome there is between Dashti County and Dayyer County in Bushehr Province in Iran. This salt dome is in Jashak Mountains near the Gankhak-e Raisi in Kaki and Dashti County.
6-Martian Mountains
Mountains are one of the most important parts of the natural ecosystem and some of them have worldwide fame because of their special beauty; the Martian mountains of Chabahar is one of them.
It’s really nice to see some symbols of another planet on earth, however it’s not impossible to travel to mars. Sometimes the nature creates some amazing landscapes and makes us think that they relate to other planets.
It’s about 35 to 40 kilometers away from Chabahar, and along the road, you see one of the wonders of Iran’s nature, exactly on the left side of the Chabahar Road to Goater; somewhere in the kahir district of the Konark coastal city. Between these spectacular mountains, you can also see the pink color of the lake that is called Lipar. Then again, your eyes fall for the beautiful beaches of Oman and the combination of all these amazing scenes makes this road one of the most beautiful roads in Iran and certainly the most beautiful road in the province. This scenery is available only in Chabahar and quite essentially it turns into a beautiful memory.
7- Stars Valley
Valley of Stars, also known as Stars Valley, is a valley located on Qeshm, an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz in Hormozgan Province. It is located north of the village of Berkeh-ye Khalaf.

#Bastam (Persian: بسطام, also romanized as Basṭām; also known as Busṭām and Bisṭām) is a city in and capital of the Bastam District of Shahrud County, Semnan Province, Iran.
At the 2006 census, its population was 7,382, in 1,997 families.
Bastam was founded in the 6th century in the Greater Khorasan. It is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north of #Shahrud. The town is known for its Islamic monuments from the Ilkhanid period and its association with the mystic #Bayazid_Bastami.[4] The Alborz are to the north of the town.
The 19th-century poet, Abbas Foroughi Bastami, lived in Bastam for a time and thence acquired its name as his own. The early Bábí leader and martyr Mullá ʻAlíy-i-Bastámí was also raised in Bastam, and was a significant figure in the Shaykhi movement and later became the first person known to have died for their allegiance to Bábism.
A tradition says that the town was founded by Vistahm, uncle of the Sasanian king Khosrau II.
The historical town of Bastam embraces the holy shrine of Mohammad Ibn Jafar Sadegh (AS), Bayazid Bastami tomb, Bayazid Monastery, Bayazid Mosque, Eljaito Iwan, Ghazan Dome, Jame Mosque, Kashaneh Tower, and Shahrokhieh School, which were built in different eras from Seljuk era (1037–1194) to Qajar period (1789–1925).
Abū Yazīd Ṭayfūr bin ʿĪsā bin Surūshān al-Bisṭāmī (al-Basṭāmī) (d. 261/874–5 or 234/848–9),commonly known in the #Iranian world as Bāyazīd Bisṭāmī (Persian: بایزید بسطامی), was a PersianSufi from north-central Iran. Known to future #Sufis as Sultān-ul-Ārifīn (King of the Gnostics), Bisṭāmī is considered to be one of the expositors of the state of fanā, the notion of dying in mystical union with Allah.
Bastami was famous for the boldness of his expression of the mystic’s complete absorption into the mysticism. Many ecstatic utterances (شطحات shatˤħāt) have been attributed to Bisṭāmī, which lead to him being known as the drunken or ecstatic (Arabic: سُكْر, sukr) school of Islamic mysticism. Such utterance may be argued as, Bisṭāmī died with mystical union and the deity is speaking through his tongue. Bisṭāmī also claimed to have ascended through the seven heavens in his dream. His journey, known as the Mi'raj of Bisṭāmī, is clearly patterned on the Mi'raj of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Bisṭāmī is characterized in three different ways: a free thinking radical, a pious Sufi who is deeply concerned with following the sha'ria and engaging in devotions beyond the obligatory, and a pious individual who is presented as having a dream similar to the Mi'raj of Muhammed.The Mi'raj of Bisṭāmī seems as if Bisṭāmī is going through a self journey; as he ascends through each heaven, Bisṭāmī is gaining knowledge in how he communicates with the angels (e.g. languages and gestures) and the number of angels he encounters increases.

Iran Travel 🇮🇷 The Amazing Tomb of Abi-al-Hasan Kharaqani
Abu 'l-Hassan Ali ibn Ahmad (or ibn Jaʻfar) ibn Salmān al-Kharaqāni (Persian: شیخ ابوالحسن خرقانی) is one of the #master_Sufis of #Islam. He was born in 963 (352 Hijri year) from Persian[1][2] parents in Khorasan in a village called Qaleh Now-e Kharaqan (today located in #Semnan Province, Iran near Bastam) and died on the day of Ashura in 1033 (10th Muharram, 425 Hijri).
He was the disciple of Abul-Abbas Qassab Amoli but claimed a deep spiritual relation with Bayazid Bastami, a well-known Sufi Master who died almost a century before him but had spoken about the personality and state of Kharaqani. He was also influenced by Abul Hasan Hankari. His school of jurisprudence was Shafi‘i.
Attar of Nishapur, a famous Persian poet and Sufi, devoted a large part of his book Tadhkirat al-Awliya (Biography of the Saints) about the personality, state and stories of Kharaqani. Attar has him as Sultān-e Salātin-e Mashāyekh King of kings of Sufi Masters, Ocean of the spiritual knowledge, Sun of the Lord, Mystery of the Lord and Qibla of his people.[citation needed]
#Kharaqani was the Master of the famous Persian Sufi and poet, Abdullah Ansari. Avicenna, Mahmud of Ghazni, Abū-Sa'īd Abul-Khayr and Nasir Khusraw traveled to Kharaqan to meet him and expressed their deep admiring feelings and respect for him.
Rumi, #Attar of #Nishapur, Khwaja Abdullah Ansari, Jami and others have narrated many poems about Abu'l-Hasan and have reported his several stories. He was illiterate but had wide inspirational knowledge about the Quran and Hadith; his sayings and speeches are significantly magnificent due to their philosophical views.
The book Nūr al-ʿUlūm Light of the Sciences is dedicated to Abu'l-Hassan. It is believed to have been written by his murids after his death. A single manuscript copy is currently held in the #British #Museum.

روستای مُجِن
مُجِن یکی از روستاهای استان سمنان، شهرستان شاهرود، از بخش مرکزی است.
مجن در وسط دره ای وسیع قرار گرفته که دو رودخانه به نام های پی حصار و پیش ده، اطراف آن جاری هستند. مردم در روستای مجن به کار کشاورزی، باغداری و دامپروری مشغولند و اغلب محصولات آنها شامل: سیب زمینی، گندم و جو بوده و محصولات باغی نیز زردآلو، سیب، گردو، گیلاس و آلبالو را دربر می گیرد. این شهر از ضلع شمال و شمال غربی با استان گلستان و از ضلع جنوب شرقی با شاهرود که 35 کیلومتر با آن فاصله دارد، همسایه است. بافت ساختاری مجن از معماری پلکانی پیروی می کند و علت آن، مستقر بودن در دامنه کوه های البرز شرقی می باشد. به دلیل اینکه شباهت زیادی به روستای زیبای ماسوله در استان گیلان دارد، عنوان ماسوله کویر ایران را به خود گرفته است و اکنون جز یکی از جاذبه های گردشگری شاهرود به شمار می آید. خانه ها به این صورت ساخته شده که پشت بام منزل پایین تر، حیاط خانه های بالاتر خواهد بود. این ساختار تنها زیبایی شهر مجن نیست بلکه فاکتورهای زیادی مثل آبشار مجن، چشمه هفت رنگ مجن، آبشار تنگه داستان، چشمه آب درگویی و … همگی بر توریستی بودن این شهر افزوده اند.
Mojen village
Mojen is one of the villages of Semnan province, Shahrood city, in the central part.
Mojn is located in the middle of a wide valley where two rivers named Pi Hesar and Pisdeh flow around it. People in Mojn village are engaged in agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry, and most of their products include: potatoes, wheat and barley, and garden products include apricots, apples, walnuts, cherries and cherries. This city is bordered by Golestan province from the north and northwest and Shahrood from the southeast, which is 35 kilometers away. The structural texture of Majen follows the staircase architecture and the reason for this is that it is located on the slopes of the Eastern Alborz Mountains. Because it is very similar to the beautiful village of Masoleh in Gilan province, it has taken the title of Masoleh, Iran's desert, and now it is one of the tourist attractions of Shahrood. The houses are built in such a way that the roof of the lower house will be the courtyard of the higher houses. This structure is not only the beauty of Mojn city, but many factors such as Mojn waterfall, Haft Rang Mojn spring, Tange Dastan waterfall, Dargoi water spring, etc. have all added to the touristic nature of this city.
