Iran, Shushtar Hydraulic System - پایتخت سازه های آبی جهان
سازه های آبی شوشتر بزرگترین مجموعه صنعتی قبل از انقلاب صنعتی که متشکل از ۱۳ سازه که از زمان هخامنشی تادوره قاجار ساخته شده. شوشتر یکی از شهرهای کهن ایران زمین که با وجود رود کارون با استفاده از دانش اون زمان با ساخت این سازه ها آب کارون را برای استفاده کشاورزی و چراخندن آسیابها به کار گرفتن. آبشارهای و آسیابهای شوشتر، پل شادروان، نهر داریون، رود گرگر، بند میزان، پل بند گرگر، پل لشکر و نیاشگاه صابین و چند خانه قدیمی مکان هایی بودن که در سفرمون به شوشتر ازشون بازدید کردیم. امیدوارم که لذت ببرید
Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System, was the biggest industrial complex, before the industrial revolution. It consists of 13 sites, which were built between the Achaemenid and Qajar periods. Shushtar is one of the ancient cities of Iran, with the Karun River, they used the knowledge and science they had back then to build these massive water and hydraulic systems and structures to turn the watermill and irrigation purposes. The Watermills and Waterfalls area in Shushtar, Shadirwan Bridge, the Darioon Creek, Gargar River, Mizan Dam, Gargar Dam, Lashkar Bridge, the Sabian or Mandaean Place of Worship, and a few old traditional houses, were some of the places we visited on our journey to Shushtar. The historical water system of Shushtar (in English: Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System), which is also called Shushtar historical water structures, is a connected set of 13 historical works including bridges, dams, mills, waterfalls, hand canals and huge water guiding tunnels. These 13 works work as a single hydraulic system and in connection with each other and were built in the Achaemenid to Sassanian eras to make more use of water. In the travelogue of Madame Jean Diolafois, the famous French archaeologist, this area is mentioned as the largest industrial complex before the industrial revolution.
These 13 historical works are located at a short distance from each other in the city of Shushtar, and by meeting criteria 1, 2 and 5, they have been registered as the tenth historical work of Iran in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name of Shushtar Historical Water System with number 1315. In some non-Iranian websites, Shushtar's blue illustrations have been used to introduce Iran.
The following ancient works have been registered as the tenth work of Iran under the name of historical water system of Shushtar in the UNESCO World Heritage List with the number 1315:

2. Kolah Ferangi tower
3. Hand Kand Gargar river
4. Gregar Bridge
5. Collection of waterfalls and water mills
6. Ayar Bridge and the Sabean prayer hall
7. Shushtar Fishery Dam (Khodaafrin Dam)

9. Darion creek
10. Shadarvan Bridge
11. Dam soil
12. Band Lashkar Bridge and Shah Ali Bridge
13. Band Sharabdar
The collection of waterfalls and water mills is the largest and most visited part of Shushtar's historical water system (Shushtar's historical water structures). In this ancient complex, there are a significant number of water mills, and a complete and large example of the use of water power to turn the mills can be seen in it. This collection is one of the most unique examples that have been exploited for the optimal use of water in ancient times.

The city of Shushtar شوشتر is famous for its water sources and fertile soil. These are the ancient water mills located in Khuzestan Province استان خوزستان in southwest of Iran. The Shushtar hydraulic system belongs to the Sassanid era ساسانيان, dating back to more than 2000 years ago. In that time, the Shushtar city was considered as an island city on the Karun River رودخانه كارون.
