Explore Buhi | Bugsukan

This is our little adventure going to one of the falls found in Buhi, Camarines Sur. The trek going to the falls was about an hour, but with more rest than walking, it took us almost two hours.

I was lagging behind most of the time from the rest of the group due to my slow pacing and because I was not really in good shape that day. But as I mentioned in one of the scenes in the video, it was worth it.

This destination is a nice place to go to if you wish to have a little hiking adventure with friends and if you wish to lose a few weight.hahaha.

Thanks to PB Maricel Cornelio, Barangay Kagawads and Barangay tanods of Barangay Igbac for the hospitality and for joining us in our little adventure.

If you want to experience this adventure yourself, just go to the PB Maricel and she will help you find a guide. It is important that you let the barangay know that you and your group are climbing/trekking up for safety and security reasons.

Itbog Falls Buhi Cam Sur Philippines Exploration

Start in trANCIENT's Home San Pascual Buhi at exactly 9:45am to ITBOG FALLS Sta Cruz Buhi Cam Sur Philippines

1.From trANCIENT's Home San Pascual Buhi to the Banca station (Sta Cruz Baktasan) it takes 2.68 miles /4.31 kms or 3,438 steps that you will save if you take a rented boat (banca) going to Itbog Falls / less almost 1 hr walking.

2.From boat station (Sta Cruz Baktasan) going to Itbog Falls takes another 2.5 miles / 4.02 kms walking /2,672 steps / almost 45 minutes walking.

3. From twin Falls going to the top to find the more hidden water falls you need to climb around .62 miles / 0.99 kms / 811 steps .

4.Concrete pathway is only 100 meters and the rest are rugged terrain and sometimes muddy during rainy season. *Total estimated distance from trANCIENT HOME to Igbog Falls is 5.85 miles / 9.41 kms or more or less 2 hours walking.

Note:

Hidden water falls are NOT suggested for those people WITHOUT PROPER CLIMBING LESSON. Dangerous for the untrained climbers. TIPS: For those wishing to climb to the hidden water falls you need to climb literally from the cliff of the water falls that are slippery and wet.

Some of the rocks located on the cliffs are not stable so its really need to think and try before you made a next step. Some of the roots from the cliffs are rotten and not stable, so you need to pull and try before you made a final grabbing of the roots.

*Some of the leaves are itchy like ingas plant and Langatong don't try to touch it. *Don't forget to bring umbrella,sun glass, sun block lotion, Mosquito lotion, Drinking water and first aid kit.

*Make noise when your walking on the mountain trail, usually snakes stay away from human presence.
*You can gave candies to local childrens..

*Don't leave any garbage's, take only photographs and memories.

*Bring extra clothing, under wear and towels, Telescope if available.

*Don't forget to bring foods.

*Don't forget to charge your camera battery and re-check camera memory.

*Bring extra money, Fully charge cell phone. If you try to call or send message try to walk 100 meters away from water falls. *Use proper walking sandals. High heels sandals/shoes are not recommended.

*In case you have guide or rented boat (banca) you need to take their cellphone number.

*.For Hire boat (banca) is available to Buhi proper closer to the Buhi Market. Don't leave without final bargain of rented boat (banca). It takes around 10 to 15 minutes boat ride before you reach the Baktasan mini Boat Terminal. When you reach the banca/boat terminal you still need to walk for almost 1 hour before you reach the Itbog Falls. The good thing of riding Banca you save half of your time of walking going to Itbog Falls.
