One Day in Potsdam! (THE BEST DAY TRIP FROM BERLIN) | Sanssouci Palace, Dutch Quarter + Inner City!

Potsdam is a city known for its gardens, palaces & lakes. It is the largest city of the German state of Brandenburg, and is the best day trip from Berlin (literally less than one hours drive away!)

300 years ago, Potsdam was transformed into one of Europe's most splendid royal cities. The Palaces and Parks of Potsdam, which cover about 500 hectares of parkland were awarded UNESCO World Heritage status back in 1990. Walking around Sanssouci Palace is a must-do experience when in Potsdam! You also can't miss the picturesque Dutch Quarter & Inner City! If you have time, we recommend a stop at the Russian Quarter as well. :) It's truly a wonderful city and we now understand why everyone has recommended a visit to Potsdam!

✔ Findet wann statt: freitags
✔ Preise: ca. 10 bis 15 Euro
✔ Dauer: ca. 1,5 bis 2 Stunden
✔ Schönster Ort auf der Route: Holländer-Viertel

It was said that the officer who helped him try to escape to England to his maternal Grandfather (King George I) was his friend and lover. They were caught by the soldier King, his father--who sent him to prison for (maybe) three months somewhere in Poland, and his friend and possibly his lover--Kathe, beheaded in front of him.

A Beautiful & Spectacular Walk in the Pines at Sans Souci Park

2nd sunny day in a row and for this hike I took a video just to once again show you how amazing this place is! This hike goes through Sans Souci Park, a beautiful example of the Pine Barrens on the South Shore of Suffolk County. There's many old, large Pitch Pines here but also a beautiful desert like area with shorter and younger Pitch Pines by Vitamin Dr. I also visit the lakes although there were a few barriers I found a way in to visit them and show you once again just how amazing this body of water is. There's no better place to be around Christmastime than in the Pines!
