Trying some Dim sum at an amazing $25 All You Can Eat Dim Sum Buffet here in San Gabriel Valley, an amazing community just east of Down town Los Angeles that has some of the best Chinese food in the world.
I have had dim sum items offered at some Las Vegas casino buffets but never have I experienced a full scale all you can eat Dim Sum buffet that offers unlimited authentic Dim Sum dishes like this one. It was my first time at a full dim sum buffet and I was amazed at how many dishes we tried and the quality of each dim sum dish especially at this price point.

Ex Hacienda San Gabriel de Barrera in Guanajuato | Mexico | Ep. 11
Hola amigos! This weekend, I went to visit Ex Hacienda San Gabriel de Barrera. It was found by a Spanish captain called Don Gabriel de Barrera at the beginning of 18th. After changing different owners, in 1975, it was turned to be a museum.
The admission is 40 peso. There are Spanish and English guides there. However, on the day I visited, there was only a Spanish guide. Therefore, I might miss some interesting stories.
However, it is a photogenic site. If you have enough travel time in Guanajuato, Mexico, it is a good place to chill out.
It is a little bit away from downtown. You can take a bus with 7 peso or a taxi with 50 peso.

Why to visit MAZATLAN instead of CANCUN
Cancun is by far the most popular vacation destination in Mexico, but it´s not the best. This is why you should consider Mazatlan instead of Cancun.
First, your Mexico vacation is going to be so much more affordable when visiting Mazatlan. By switching destinations, with all the money you are saving, you might be able to take 3 Mexico vacations per year instead of just one.
But, the benefits of heading over to the west coast of Mexico don´t end there. Watch this video to learn all of the reasons why there are much better choices for a Mexico vacation than Cancun.

The Battle of Río San Gabriel and the Conquest of California
A concrete river channel east of Los Angeles was the site of the last major battle of the Mexican-American War in California, the Battle of Río San Gabriel. This is a short video about the battle and its context in the Conquest of California and the Mexican-American War.
The Battle of Río San Gabriel was fought in an afternoon, but it was also part of a longer process that played out over many years, beginning with early Anglo attempts to sieze California from Mexico and continuing after the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, which officially ceded California to the United States. Of course, the battle site now looks nothing like it did in 1847. The Río San Gabriel doesn’t even flow down this channel anymore; it’s now occupied by the Río Hondo, a completely different river! The concrete channel was built by the Army Corps of Engineers in the mid-20th century, after a devastating series of floods in the Los Angeles area.
Here is the location of the battle marker, if you want to check it out yourself (although as you probably tell from the video, there’s not much to see there):
