🇲🇽 METEPEC Pueblo MAGICO |Rediscovering MEXICO'S MAGIC in 2020! | Eating BRIGHT RED Pambazos!
🇲🇽 METEPEC, ESTADO DE MÉXICO - Hola amigos! This is Part 6 of my 2020 Mexico Travel series. We've got on a local bus in Toluca and headed to Metepec, one of the many Pueblo Magicos in Mexico (magic towns).
If you're planning on traveling to Mexico for a Mexico trip in 2020, I would 100% recommend visiting a magic town. They provide an entirely new perspective of Mexico in terms of beauty, colour and authenticity, despite most things being closed due to Covid-19 in Mexico. Mexico travel is tough this year, but we're making the best of a bad situation!
In this video we'll be rediscovering Mexico's magic by marvelling at the colourful buildings, churches and history in Metepec. We also sample another dish well-known in the Toluca area - bright red pambazos! Another example of unique Mexican food! (comida Mexicana). These are similar to tortas yet coated in a red chilli sauce and fried with a filling of meat and potatoes.
We also look into the history and culture of Metepec with it's pottery trade and creation story going back to the book of Genesis with the 'Tree of Life' - which actually appeared on a Beatles' album cover!

A Visit to TOLUCA, Estado de Mexico
In this episode, we visit the capital city of the State of Mexico, Toluca de Lerdo, or just Toluca. Toluca gets a bad rap in CDMX, but we think it's somewhat unfair. Being so close in proximity to Mexico City, this little big city naturally suffers by comparison to its cosmopolitan neighbor to the east, but it offers a very different experience. Toluca is nestled in a mountainous pine forest and is much colder than most of Mexico, being the highest altitude capital city in North America.
We visit the Cosmovitral Jardín Botánico de Toluca, the Catedral de Toluca, and several other attractions.

San Andres-cholula Mexico
Traveled to San Andres / Cholula Mexico. Went there with my girlfriend and her best friend to go to a Quinceanera and to visit some of my girlfriends family. This is some of the highlights of my 4 days spent there. The church on the hill is Our Lady of Remedies (Virgen De Los Remedios) which was a short walk from where we were staying. It was built over the pyramid ruins of Tlachihualtepetl. basically it's ruins built over older ruins. The church which was built over those started construction in 1536 and was completed in 1666. It was later rebuilt in 1864 and has been kept to present day. The steep walk way that takes you to the church is quite the hike and once on top offers amazing views of the urban landscape and country beyond.
San Pedro Cholula | Central Square | English | Subtitles | Puebla | Canadian in Mexico
San Pedro Cholula is part of the bigger city of Cholula. Cholula is located in Puebla, Mexico. It is located just to the east of Mexico City.
In this vlog we are visiting the central square. Cholula is best known for the Great Pyramid of Cholula.
Pictured in the main square is the Parroquia de San Pedro Cholula. You can see the damage caused to this church by the earthquake, as well as some of the other buildings in the area.
We are walking by parks, and play grounds. This is a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon, or morning in our case. It is close to the Pyramid, so it makes for a great stop along the way!
This video is in English, but has subtitles. It was English Subtitles, French Subtitles, and Spanish Subtitles.
