Killiney Hill is a popular destination for walkers and hikers availing of the spectacular views, over the surrounding areas: Dublin to the Northwest, the Irish Sea and the mountains of Wales (on a clear day) to the East and Southeast, and Bray Head and the Wicklow Mountains to the South.

Dun Laoghaire Timelapse 4k
Now I'm getting expert in timelapses (just joking, it's like my third one, nut my hands are getting used to the cold). This one is in Dun Laoghaire 40 minutes after the sun went down. It surprised me when I looked at the photos and noticed there was still light.
I used the Mavic mini 2 for the shots, and Premiere and Lightroom for editing all the photos together (235 if you were wondering how many).

Hotel Review: Rochestown Lodge Hotel & Spa, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland - April 2019
Hotel Review: Rochestown Lodge Hotel & Spa, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland - April 2019.
I've just added a new review to my Hotel Reviews: Ireland playlist, here: of a review of the Rochestown Lodge Hotel & Spa in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April 2019 whilst working in Dun Laoghaire. Firstly I would like to point out that this hotel, is a 30 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride from Dun Laoghaire centre. I arrived in Dun Laoghaire by DART train, and took the 7a bus from around the corner of the station to get to the hotel. If you are wanting to use this hotel to explore central Dublin and its many sites of interest, be aware that it is a 30 minute bus journey from the hotel into the centre. Don't let this put you off, but be aware that it isn't a centrally located hotel.
Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, who let me check into my room early at 11:00, I was very pleased with this, as I had been up since 04:00. My room was on the third floor and front facing. There is some minor traffic noise and a faint beeping from a pedestrian crossing, but this wasn't a problem to me.
The room was huge, and this was a nice change from many city centre hotels, this is an advantage of it being in a suburban location, there is more space. It was warmly decorated with a good sized and very comfortable double bed. There was an absence of plug sockets (only two in the room), so bring with you a strip plug if you have things to charge.
The room has a wardrobe, dressing table, desk, tea and coffee making facilities, flat-screen TV, draws for storage, bedside tables and hairdryer but there was no air-conditioning.
The bathroom was in good order, but there was a shower bath instead of a shower cubicle - a minor blemish.
The swimming pool was a nice size, it was great when it was quiet, but once there were three people in doing laps it felt crowded. When it was empty it was a treat.
Breakfast was decent, there is a buffet of cold items and then hot items are served to your table from a menu. I had the full Irish Breakfast, which was very good, although if you want baked beans you have to ask for them! The bar was large and well used by hotel guests and locals alike. I ate in the bar one night, the food was again decent, although a little pricey for the portion sizes.
This review features views of the hotel exterior, reception, lift / elevator, a detailed room inspection of room 325, the swimming pool, breakfast and the bar.
I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again in future if I was to be in the South Dublin / Dun Laoghaire area.
