🇲🇰 GRAPE HARVEST: Macedonian Farming, Ajvar and Rakia in Rosoman {Budget Travel North Macedonia}
On a spectacular autumn afternoon, the grape harvest of Macedonia can be observed in all of the surrounding colors and warmth.
Right in the middle of the country, between the nation's two largest cities of Skopje and Bitola, the town of Rosoman is at the center of Macedonian agriculture. As the grape is the most important crop, the region is renowned for its wine and Macedonian rakia, a whiskey-like liquor.
Another specialty is ajvar, a sauce combined roasted eggplant and chili pepper. With an abundance of these vegetables, plus garlic and spices, the taste buds come alive with these Balkan flavors.

Skopje, North Macedonia is definitely the oddest city we've visited. They have delicious coffee but good luck finding food. The stray dogs are very friendly and well looked after in between the famous landmarks from other countries. And the marble square surrounded by statues is definitely one of the highlights of the city.

🇲🇰 Millennium Cross, Macedonia Square + Warrior on a Horse:{Budget Travel Skopje, NORTH MACEDONIA}
Overlooking all of the Skopje's activities is Vodno Park and atop Vodno Mountain is the Millennium Cross, the world's third-largest cross.
This was one of hundreds of statues and sculptures Skopje, North Macedonia erected in the city. The most famous, or infamous, is Warrior on a Horse portraying Alexander the Great.
That fountain is in the middle of Macedonia Square, an area highlighting the capital city's history, architecture and culture. Steps away is the trendy Ulitsa Macedonia, the pedestrian-only street with its trendy cafés and shops.
Matt absorbs many of Skopje's cultural and tourist attractions on an urban hike, starting from the medieval Stone Bridge and arriving several kilometers, and hours, later at the Millennium Cross.

After a full day in and around world famous Meteora, it is time head north, with the objective of crossing the border with North Macedonia and reaching its capital Skopje. Using only national and local roads we avoid going on paid and boring highways. As a result, we get a chance to see some of the lesser known Greek interior where, at least according to the road signs, one can meet wild bears that freely roam around. Virtual ride, with Polish commentary and a good dose of humor :) ...

Po całym dniu spędzonym w słynnych Meteorach, czas udać się na północ, w celu przekroczenia granicy z Macedonią Północną i dotarcia do jej stolicy, Skopje. Korzystając tylko z dróg krajowych i lokalnych unikamy wjeżdżania na płatne i nudne autostrady. Dzięki temu mamy okazję zobaczyć trochę mniej znane wnętrze Grecji, gdzie, przynajmniej zgodnie z drogowskazami, można spotkać swobodnie wędrujące dzikie niedźwiedzie. Wirtualna przejażdżka, z polskim komentarzem i sporą dawką humoru :)...

Mile Stojkoski London 2012 Marathon - Day 2 - [Prilep - Rosoman, Macedonia]
16.03.2012 The second day of the London 2012 Marathon. The journey had started from Prilep to Rosoman passing true one of the most difficult mountain passes in Macedonia, Pletvar. Mile managed to improve his personal record in climbing Pletvar in 3 hours.
Because of the security issues we had to stop the journey before the canyon and continue in the next day.
