Hartbeespoort is a South African resort town north of Johannesburg. It’s known for the Hartbeespoort Dam and the whitewater rapids of the Crocodile River. Both are visible from the Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway, which ascends to the top of the Magaliesberg mountains.

is a cool place to see its $10 to enter the Park where you can see a beautiful waterfall and walk around and see many other things along the park. You can walk up the trails of the mountain side enjoy a nice lunch. Depending on where in Johannesburg you’re staying at. Could be about 30 to 45 minutes to get there by car. The vans that they have for locals are very difficult to maneuver to see where you’re actually going to get dropped off. They are a lot cheaper it’s just very difficult to find out how you’re going to get from a to B not many of them speak English.

Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens is a great place for a picnic, walks, a relaxing afternoon and even a quick hike!
The hike is not difficult or long at all, it's only 3.9km, but it is very steep with a few spot that are a bit difficult but the views are totally worth it. Try this hike at sunset for some beautiful views over Johannesburg.
The entrance fee to the Botanical Gardens is R80,00pp and not additional charge for the hike.

Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens, wild goose chase game, takes place in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. Taking 15 to 60 players. Great, vast outdoor arena and one of the great escapes of Johannesburg; it’s a delight to experience a wild goose chase game on this property. Based in Roodepoort on almost 300 hectares of landscaped and natural veld, this game is a great chance to get out into the fresh air with your team. A minimum of 15 players is required for this game to go ahead. Events are scheduled at 10am or 2.30pm and are 90 minutes long - but plan for 2 hours.
