After one night in Riyadh, we took a road trip with our friend Moh to the beautiful oasis city of Al Hofuf.
We met our new host Mohammed, and he & his friend Khaled took us to try some of the delicious traditional food from Al Ahsa.
First was a visit to a wonderful traditional bakery where we tried delicious Red date bread and saw the tanoor oven in action!
We learnt about DIBS and tried amazing red date bread with cheese, laban and dibs!
Then we went to an awesome restaurant and had an incredible time feasting on famous Saudi dishes like:

Hello and welcome to Riyadh! Saudi Arabia has a relatively young history of passenger railways. Tonight, I am going to travel on the newly launched overnight train from Riyadh to Qurayyat. The 1,242km journey will take just over 11 hours, I expect the private sleeper cabins to be modern, clean, and comfortable. I’m excited to try it out. Let’s go!

Wadi Dayqah Biggest Dam in Oman is beautiful and amazing project completed in Oman. I has main purposes as below.
1 Take advantage of wadi flood waters, which lost to the sea
2 Maintain the actual consumption of water used in agriculture in villages and areas on the wadi channel and downstream of the dam
3 Provide drinking water and other household uses water to Wilayat Quriyat
4 Provide strategic fresh water resource for Muscat Governorate
5 Provide protection to the villages located on the course of the wadi from flood risk.
6 Develop tourism sector in the region
The project involves construction of two dams located just upstream of Mazara Village. The main dam which was constructed on the main stream of Wadi Dayqah and the saddle dam on the left depression of the reservoir. The spillway was built in the middle of the main dam to pass flood waters, also a stilling basin was built downstream to reduce the energy of water flowing from the spillway.
