The Bamboo Forest of Guangning | Zhaoqing
It’s a 1.5 hour bus ride out of Zhaoqing to reach Guangning but there are regular comfortable buses from the star lake hotel long distance bus station. To get to the bamboo forests take a second local bus from the main bus station after you arrive to Heng Shan Zhen and get off at the Luo Guo stop.
To reach the amazing view at the top of the hill above Gushizhen take the Meng Keng bus and ask to be dropped off at the village. Then ask around for the path that leads up the hill behind one of the village houses.

If you want an off the beaten path, guaranteed delicious Taiwanese food experience, this is a great Taipei night market to visit.
One of the greatest things about Nanjichang Night Market (南機場夜市) is that it’s not only a night market, but it’s open throughout the day and you’ll find different food available depending on the time of the day. Additionally, about 3 or 4 different stalls at this market have been featured in the Michelin Guide Taiwan.

Qingyuan is about an hour north of Guangzhou and famous for its natural scenery. We took a weekend trip from Hong Kong with a local tour and visited some of its top sights.

蓮香樓：
清光緒十五年（1899年），蓮香樓的前身是一間專營糕點美食的糕酥館,專門製作結婚響糖、禮餅和包辦筵席。花縣人經營。
後因側有連登巷，改名為「連香樓」。經營由陳維清負責。
宣統二年（1910年），取名「連香大茶樓」將店讓給譚新義、區漢波、陳萼生、顏以莊、譚晴波、陳鉁富，招錦堂、楊殿芬、陳逸琹九位接辦人。以「合興堂」公司名義重新招集股東122人。
主招牌（橫匾）蓮香樓三字是大富堡蓮塘鄉清末舉人陳如嶽手書，字體厚重雄健。牌匾製作簡潔而莊嚴，在十年動亂時被毀。期間更名為「東升樓」
新中國成立後，「蓮香樓」由私營改製為國企，並先後被授予「中華老字號」「五鉆級酒家」等稱號。
2005年，廣州市蓮香樓更名為蓮香樓公司，2006年西關世家購入99%股份，但商標所有權屬於國企廣飲集團。其後引發了各種商標糾紛。

In 2005, Guangzhou Lianxiang Building was renamed Lianxianglou Company, and in 2006 Xiguan Maison bought 99% of the shares, but the trademark was owned The right belongs to the state-owned enterprise Guangjiao Group. This led to various trademark disputes.

今回はずっと行きたかった台湾に行って来ました！（2023年9月16-22日）
4年ぶりの海外。
雑誌「山と溪谷」の取材に同行させていただき、
7泊8日で台湾の山を2座登るというなんとも贅沢な旅をしてきました。
1つ目は台北最高峰の「陽明山」
台北市から電車とバスを乗り継いで行けるのでアクセスも良く旅行に組み込みやすい！
日本と違った山容や登山文化にわくわくしました。
2つ目の山は台湾最高峰の山「玉山」
山と溪谷チャンネルでもこの旅の様子UPされていますので併せて見ていただけますと嬉しいです♪
