Buenos Aires Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia

Buenos Aires – an enchanting blend of European architecture and Latin passion. Check out footage of the best attractions in the city in our travel guide!

When ready, browse vacation packages to Buenos Aires:

Named for good sailing winds, #BuenosAires is the capital of Argentina, and home to nearly a quarter of the country’s two million residents. Come for the stunning European architecture, and stay for delicious cuts of meat, the city’s zest for soccer, and, of course, the tango.

A #vacation in Buenos Aires should include a stop at La Boca Harbor, where you’ll find numerous street vendors, restaurants, and street dancers willing to give you a spin.

#Visit Plaza de Mayo. There you can take in the rosy architecture of the Casa Rosada, which was made famous by Argentine First Lady Eva Peron and the musical about her life, “Evita.”

Cap off your Buenos Aires #sightseeing with an evening walk through Puerto Madero, where you can get a late dinner and dance until the next day arrives.

For now, we hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

Avenida Corrientes - Buenos Aires - Argentina - walking tour 2023 #argentina #buenosaires

It begins in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero and ends in Chacarita. Along its 70 blocks, it crosses the neighborhoods of Balvanera (in its Once and Abasto areas, as they are known, and where the Shopping Abasto is located), Almagro and Villa Crespo, all closely linked to the history of tango and culture. Although in the popular imagination we still know it as “Corrientes Street”, it is an avenue and owes its name to the first city in the interior of the country that supported Argentine Independence. Since April 2019, in the section that goes from Av. Callao to Libertad and from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., it has been transformed into a pedestrian zone to accompany the hours of greatest influx of people from theatrical activity.
Due to its nightlife, it is known as the street that never sleeps and this is because, mainly between Esmeralda Street and Callao Av., there is a large concentration of bookstores, theaters, pizzerias and bars, some considered Remarkable. It witnessed the golden age of tango, since bars, theaters and cabarets worked there or nearby, where the great musicians of the first half of the 20th century played. In 2006, they began to renovate the street furniture and widen the sidewalks even more.
Corrientes is the bohemia of the 40s, it is Gardel, tango and nightlife. It is also that of the 60s and early 70s, with its political, cultural and literary discussions in the most emblematic bars and cafes on the corners. The Currents of the bookstores that close late, the one of the art cinemas and the one of the pizzerias that lower their blinds even more at dawn. The one at the Teatro San Martín and the one at Lugones. The Corrientes of the Rojas Cultural Center, which is passing Callao Avenue, which in the 90s reinvented the contemporary art scene. Also that of the newspaper kiosks that sell the main cultural magazines. And, of course, the Currents of the theaters, of the marquees that illuminate the faces of passers-by about to fill the halls.

Cancun's Steak and Lobster, PUERTO MADERO

An Argentinean chain called Puerto Madero opened a location in Cancun about 2004 specializing in prime meats/steak dinners, lobster tail from Maine, every other kind of fish dish, delicious desserts. The ambiance at the restaurant offers marina views, an outdoor deck, very romantic at night or at sunset. Open for lunch and dinner.
