About us:
In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.

After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.

Porto Cervo, Sardinia, SUMMER night walking tour in 4k

Hello my friends! Let's walk together by Porto Cervo!
Welcome to Porto Cervo, the Emerald Coast, Sardinia walking tour in 4k. July 2022.

Is Porto Cervo the most beautiful town in Sardinia? Let's find out in this walk tour!.

???? BEST Hotels where to stay in Porto Cervo????

The center of Porto Cervo is represented by the charming little Chiacchiere square (where our walking tour ends) built by architect Luigi Vietti and full of bars and restaurants with breathtaking views of the marina of the town which is home to splendid and luxurious yachts.

Numerous narrow streets start from the square, populated by luxury boutiques (such as Valentino, Dolce&Gabbana, Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton) and the latest fashion shops, perfect for those who want to indulge in a shopping stroll.

???? Best Tours in Porto Cervo ????

Also from the square, you can reach the Marina of Porto Cervo which runs alongside the tourist port of Porto Cervo. The Marina then continues towards the old port area, a docking place for large cruise ships and ferries that bring tourists to this area of Sardinia.

In this walking tour I will take you to the most beautiful streets and best attractions to visit in Porto Cervo.

Hope you enjoy this walk!

10 Best Places to Visit in Italy - Travel Video

Check out all the places seen in this video:

Located in Southern Europe, this boot-shaped country is one of the world’s most popular travel destinations for a number of reasons that include art treasures, trendy fashion, stunning landscapes, passionate people and top-class cuisine. Italy offers so much to see and do that it would take a lifetime to explore.

Ten lesser-known spots to see in Sardinia if you love street art and urbex.

This month I've been working remotely from a little village in Sardinia, Italy, switching between job assignments and day trips to abandoned places, former industrial sites, and many new and old murals, as Sardinia's old mural art tradition has no equal in Europe.

Here are the ten lesser-known spots to see in Sardinia if you love street art and urbex (more on soon!):

1) L'Argentiera a former argentiferous mine exploited since Roman times and closed down in 1963. Industrial archaeology at its best, with a secret beach and contemporary art installations. Read more here:

2) Aggius, a mountain village with a significant public art collection, thanks to AAAperto Museo. Here you can find both urban art and contemporary artworks by Maria Lai. Moreover, you can visit the Museum of Banditry and the MAOC, the biggest ethnographic museum in Sardinia.

3) The abandoned USAF (United States Air Force) radio base on top of Limbara Mountain. This military site worked between 1966 and 1993, and it has been neglected ever since. There are a few street art pieces, many messages written on walls by locals reclaiming their island, and a breathtaking view. Thanks to Sardegna Abbandonata for the tip!

4) A piece by Buff Monster and more street art in Olbia, mainly around the train station.

5) Via Fontevecchia is where you will find urban art in Castelsardo. At the top of the street, there is a delicious bakery; have a slice of focaccia thinking of me ;)

6) A piece by BLU in Porto Torres. (Porto Torres is also an excellent destination for urbex, especially the area around the harbor, which I already covered on the blog: )

7) Traditional mural art in Orgosolo arose in the 1970s to spread political and social messages inspired by Marxism. In Orgosolo and other villages in central Sardinia, murals were painted with the belief that they should engage the community and make a difference in the lives of locals, who were directly involved in the realization of the murals. Read more here:

8) Graffiti in Nuoro (near the stadium) and more street art around the city. Nuoro is also home to the excellent contemporary art museum MAN.

9) Thanks to the Festival della Resilienza, Macomer boasts an excellent street art collection alongside many archaeological sites, historical buildings, and a stunning natural landscape. Macomer is also an ideal destination for industrial archaeology: all abandoned factories are along the same street, Via Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour. Read more here:

10) Sassari is highly recommended, too! Lots of great street art by top-notch Italian artists such as BLU and Ericailcane. This time I haven't come back, but I visited the nearby village of Osilo to check out a few pieces by street artist Sardomuto.

Enjoy the video, and check out my Street Art Travel Guide of Sardinia for more:

Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) La Pelosa Beach

Places to see in ( Sardinia - Italy ) La Pelosa Beach

La Pelosa beach (Spiaggia della Pelosa), with its shallow turquoise waters and salty white sands, is a true Sardinian oasis and arguably one of the best beaches of Europe. One of the westernmost beaches of Sardinia, La Pelosa is just 2 kilometers away from the harbour village of Stintino, in Capo Falcone, in the province of Sassari. The beach is 300 meters long – and up to 60 meters wide in some spots – and faces north-east, offering marvelous views of Isola Piana situated 600 meters off the coast and the larger Isola Asinara behind it.

La Pelosa beach is accompanied by an ancient sixteenth century watchtower, the Torre della Pelosa, that used to be part of Sardinia’s marine defense system. Since this is a popular diving area, there are two diving centers in the vicinity: the Asinara Diving Center, and the Roccaruja Diving Center. Both offer diving excursions in the Capo Falcone area. Places to see in ( Sassari - Italy )

Sassari, Sardinia's second-largest city, is a proud and cultured university town with a handsome historic centre and an unpretentious, workaday vibe. Like many Italian towns it hides its charms behind an outer shell of drab apartment blocks and confusing, traffic-choked roads. But once through to the inner sanctum it opens up, revealing a grand centre of wide boulevards, impressive piazzas and stately palazzi. In the evocative and slightly rundown centro storico (historic centre), medieval alleyways hum with Dickensian activity as residents run about their daily business amid grimy facades and hidden churches.

One of the most important monuments in Sassari is the Fontana del Rosello , built in the Late Renaissance style and characterized by statues: one for each season, and one equestrian, of San Gavino. Also worth seeing are the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, erected in the 13th Century; originally Romanesque, it was later rebuilt as Gothic, but with Baroque facade. Then, visit the Palazzo Ducale, a monumental 18th-Century limestone construction; the Tower of St. Anthony, a remain of the original, 13th-Century city walls; and the Church of San Pietro in Silki, also built in the 13th Century. We also recommend the G. A. Sanna Archaeological-Ethnographic Museum, housing archaeological finds from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.

Moving towards the sea from Sassari, we reach Porto Torres, on the Gulf of Asinara. In addition to Porto Torres's charming historic center, we can admire the Basilica di San Gavino, one of the oldest and most important examples of Pisan Romanesque architecture on the island; the Basilica di San Gavino a Mare, built in the mid-19th Century near the ancient necropolis Turris Libisonis (the remains of which are kept in the Antiquarium Turritanum); the Palazzo di Re Barbaro; the Terme Maetzke and Terme Pallottino, boasting still their mosaic floors that date back to the Roman Empire; and the Roman bridge, built for commuting from city to countryside.

To northwest of Porto Torres, almost on the end of the small peninsula that reaches the island of Asinara, there is the picturesque village of Stintino, a former fishing village and now popular seaside resort with golden beaches and crystalline sea. Continuing to north we reach the National Park of Asinara, that takes its name from the island (in the center) and is a protected marine area.

Descending along the coast towards the south, we reach the Promontory of Capo Caccia and the enchanting Bay of Porto Conte. In the western part of Capo Caccia, overlooking the sea, the Escalada del Cabirol is 665 steps carved into the rock wall and leading to the Grotta di Nettuno (Neptune's Grotto), among the most suggestive of the Mediterranean. (We can also arrive here by ferry from Alghero.)

On the opposite side of Neptune's Grotto is the entrance to the Grotta Verde (Green Grotto), hiding away traces of the Neolithic Period. Grotta dei Ricami is also close, but accessible only from the sea. The Bay of Porto Conte is part of the Marine Reserve of Capo Caccia-Isola Piana. Nuraghe Palmaneva and the Necropolis of Abghelu Ruju, also in the area, are also tour-worthy.

By continuing along the coast, we reach the beautiful, monument-filled town of Alghero. First, the ancient towers that once surrounded the entire village today they have dwindled down to seven (including Torre de Sant Joan, Torre de l’Esperò Reial, Torre de Sant Jaume, Torre de la Polvorera). Other monuments include the bastions, the ancient fortification of the city; the Plàia Civica, which is the Medieval square of the city; the Cathedral of Santa Maria, built in 1500 in Gothic-Catalan style; and the Plàia del Bisbe, a Neoclassical piazza fronted by the Teatro Civico, the Palazzo Vescovile and the Casa Doria.

Places to see in ( Stintino - Italy ) La Pelosa Beach

Surfboards and canoes are for rent at the Stintino Windsurfing Center nearby.

The beach can get crowded during peak season in July and August, but if you find yourself in the area of Sassari or Porto Torres, La Pelosa beach is definitely worth a visit. For many Europeans, La Pelosa is a marvelous opportunity to experience the Caribbean at a fraction of the cost.
