भारत का केंद्र शासित प्रदेश अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप छुट्टियों में समय बिताने के लिए किसी स्वर्ग से कम नहीं है। यहां आकर पर्यटक शांति और सुकून का अनुभव करते हैं। अंडमान निकोबार एक द्वीप समूह है जो 572 छोटे और बड़े द्वीपों से मिलकर बना है, जिसमें सिर्फ कुछ ही द्वीपों पर लोग रहते हैं। बंगाल की खाड़ी के दक्षिण में हिंद महासागर में स्थित अंडमान निकोबार द्वीप की राजधानी पोर्ट ब्लेयर है। बता दें कि अंडमान शब्द मलय भाषा के शब्द “हांदुमान” से लिया गया है, इस भाषा में हनुमान को हांदुमान कहते हैं। जबकि निकोबार का मलय भाषा में अर्थ होता है “नग्र लोगों की जमीन”।

The Ross Island was renamed the Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose Dweep by prime minister Narendra Modi in 2018. It is a tiny place that comes under the South Andaman district, Port Blair, and is barely 5 km away from the Water Sports Complex, making it one of the easiest inter-island to visit during your trip to Andamans.
