13 km hike Parc St Pons - Pic de Bertagne, Gemenos, South of France
The first part is suitable for hiding from the hot sun on a summer day. There are a lot of trees, shade, and waterfalls. It's an excellent place to go with children. Dogs are not allowed. The second, I think, is better to do in autumn, when it's not so hot and visibility is better.

📌 Location: Les Baux-de-Provence, South of France
🇬🇧 Bonjour! Welcome to our latest video, where we take you on a late afternoon tour of Les Baux-de-Provence, a perched village in the Bouches-du-Rhône département towered by a formidable medieval castle.
Nestled in the heart of the Alpilles, Les Baux-de-Provence is a picturesque emblem of medieval heritage and natural beauty.
This enchanting village, perched atop a rugged limestone outcrop, offers breathtaking views of the Alpilles mountain range and a journey through a rich tapestry of history.
Once home to a thriving community of over 6,000 people in the Middle Ages, today Les Baux-de-Provence captivates with its serene atmosphere, housing just a handful of permanent residents within its ancient bounds.
Its cobbled streets, lined with Renaissance mansions and shadowed by the majestic ruins of its castle, whisper tales of lords and legends, including the audacious lords of Les Baux who claimed descent from one of the Magi, Balthasar.
The Château des Baux, with its medieval siege engines and troglodyte dwellings carved into the rock, stands as a testament to the village's glorious past, inviting visitors to step back in time.
Awarded the title of Most Beautiful Village of France, Les Baux-de-Provence is not just a destination but an experience, offering a stunning panorama that has inspired artists and bewitched visitors for centuries.

10 miejsc w Nicei, które powinniście zobaczyć
#1/ Place Masséna to historyczny plac w Nicei . Został nazwany na cześć André Massény . Jego układ zaprojektował Joseph Vernier w latach 1843-1844.
Place Masséna to główny plac miasta.
Oprócz licznych imprez ( karnawał w Nicei , bitwy kwiatowe itp.), promenada słynie z „ niebieskich krzeseł ” i pergoli.
Wejście do portu wyznacza długi falochron zakończony latarnią. Port pełni dzisiaj różne funkcje. Pływają stąd promy na Korsykę i Sardynię, a statki wycieczkowe m.in. do Saint-Tropez. Port jest też oczywiście przystanią lokalnych rybaków. Od niedawna linia tramwajowa nr 2 łączy port z lotniskiem w Nicei.
#6/ Promenada Paillon to 12-hektarowy zielony park, otwarty w 2013 roku, prezentuje prawie 1600 drzew, 6000 krzewów i 50 000 bylin.
To zoo, tropikalny ogród botaniczny, plac zabaw i miejsce pikników w jednym.
Można odwiedzić też przylegający do murów kościoła zabytkowy cmentarz. Znajdziemy tam groby m.in. malarzy Henri Matisse’a i jego żony. Warto również zwiedzić ogrody klasztorne.

Places to see in ( Nice - France ) Monastere de Cimiez
Places to see in ( Nice - France ) Monastere de Cimiez
The monastery of Cimiez was founded in the ix th century by the monks Benedictines of the Abbey of Saint-Pons , and it brings together the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption ( xv th century ) and the Franciscan Museum which, Franciscan life in Nice from the xiii th century .
The most famous of Franciscans in Nice is Brother Marc, who became the fray Marcos de Niza and gave, it is said, the name of the founder of his order to the site of the future city of San Francisco ( California ). Since 1546 he has been occupied by the Franciscans. The Franciscans of Cimiez are also responsible for the parish of Sainte-Marie-des-Anges in Nice ( Cimiez and Vallon des Fleurs for Nice, as well as the neighboring town of Falicon ). Today, a fraternity of four brothers from Assisi (Italy) provides service to the parish of Sainte-Marie-des-Anges.
In the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, we can admire three major paintings of the primitive Nice Louis Bréa : a Pietà , the Crucifixion , and the Deposition , which correspond to 40 years of the activity of the artist. In the beautiful setting offered by the cloister monastery ( xvi th century ), on the occasion of Nice Musical Nights are held classical concerts. This same cloister is used in summer, in good weather, for Sunday Masses .
The remarkable garden that surrounds the building is the former vegetable garden of the monks. The salad of mesclun was invented by the Franciscan fathers of the monks of the monastery of Cimiez in Nice. They mixed various seeds together, creating lou mesclun. The custom was to offer to the poor the plants which they split and which they carried in a espourtoula (sort of basket with handle, rattan in the form of inverted capelin).
( Nice - France ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Nice . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Nice - France

Located halfway between Carcassonne and Limoux, Saint-Hilaire forms part of the collective conscience. You only need step into the Abbey to have 1000 years of history spark your imagination.
Louis the Pious singled out the Abbey in the 9th century: he gave it a major role by providing the greatest protection from a Carolingian King. Throughout the Middle Ages, the Benedictine Abbey used its influence. In the 10th and 11th centuries, it became the cemetery for the counts of Carcassonne. One of the greatest artists of the 12th century created one of his masterpieces: a reliquary marble alter, (one of his masterpieces), in honour of Saint Saturnin, the Abbey's patron saint. The Abbey endured the Albigensian Crusade and the consequences of an attack by the Black Prince during the Hundred Years' War. The Abbey survived, reinforcing its defences and adding innovative embellishments from the Gothic period. The Abbey's living quarters are decorated with painted ceilings, which are outstanding examples of the problems at the end of the 15th century, which will soon see the Wars of Religion destroy the kingdom of France and the village of Saint-Hilaire...

The Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard is one of the greatest sights in all of ancient history. It's an incredibly impressive structure. In fact, it is the tallest ancient bridge and the second-highest structure the Romans ever built, after the Coliseum in Rome, which is just 6 feet higher.

Not only is this a work of great engineering, but it has come down to us as one of the most important works of art of the ancient world, a work of great architecture recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built to carry water from the countryside into the city of Nîmes, which was a big Roman center back in those days, and it continued carrying water for five hundred years.
