With a total area of over 12,000 square meters and representatives of twelve among the twenty-three species of #crocodilians registered globally, we have an excellent suggestion for your next French trip.
La Ferme aux crocodiles, or The Crocodile Farm, is ready to welcome you in the Pierrelatte commune, located in the #Drôme region of south-eastern France. Ready to take off?
At the beginning of the 90s, over 300 Nile crocodiles were imported from South Africa to France. Since then, their reproduction has been managed and monitored in order to prevent overpopulation.
Special climate conditions were created for the crocodiles to feel good and have a high quality of life, similar to their genetic environment. The result? Europe's largest wildlife #park, where more than 600 animals live freely amongst exotic plants and extended authentic flora and fauna.
Ferme aux Crocodiles, along with its inhabitants, is open to the public and ready to take you exploring some of the fascinating species residing in France!
When entering The Crocodile Farm, you will be free to choose between various facilities to explore and experience. Among them are:
The Tropical #Reserve with an exterior and an interior section, where you can observe hundreds of crocodilians, #tortoises, birds, #lizards, snakes, and fishes, along with vibrant #flora.
Shopping and restoration facilities, including a cafeteria, food bite corner, a picnic area, and a unique on-site shop for tourists and visitors.
Child and family-friendly facilities, including a nursery, a playground, accessible and well-arranged toilets, and refreshment rooms.
Along with everything else, The Crocodile Farm also offers several fun and entertaining educational activities for people of all ages, children, and students. For example, these are animation projections, talks, shows, exhibitions, and special lectures that explain the nature and specifics of the species residing in the nature reserve.
