Free camping in Romania | Is it safe and legal to camp in Romania? | Romania travel vlog
We spent over two months in Romania and we free camped in our campervan almost every night. From beaches to parking lots to beautiful spots in the wild. We found the most amazing places where we swam, had campfires, stargazed and saw bears. Camping in Romania has been one of the best experiences of our lives. And for the most part it's been completely free. We only paid for campsites when we needed to get water, empty our toilet and have showers.

Timisoara: We stayed here several nights and had a great time but on our last night, we had someone (maybe a local, maybe another campervanner) keep knocking on our door trying to join him for drinks. We quickly left. But that was after several great nights in this spot. We also found the carpark at the mall Shopping City a great place to park.

We use the app Park4Night. There are loads of apps out there but we've found Park4Night to have the biggest selection. Plus, it's free to use! You only need to pay if you want to leave reviews or add spots.

DJ 573: Ciudanoviţa - Colonia Ciudanoviţa - Railway line Oraviţa-Anina (Aug. 4, 2020)
The colony of Ciudanoviţa was built during the 1950-1960s for the workers at the uranium mines near Ciudanoviţa and Lişava.
The mines are now closed, but the level of radiation is still high in some places where the uranium ore was stockpiled for transport.
Railway line Oraviţa-Anina was built between 1861-1863 for the coal mining industry that has been booming at that time in Anina. The train stop near Ciudanoviţa lies at an elevation of ~400 meters above sea level.
In the 1950s it was a pure luck that an already built railway line passed so close to the newly discovered uranium ore deposits at Ciudanoviţa.

Here is the second of four films from our biggest campaign yet to promote Romania across Europe on BBC World News starting this week and running until 2023. This one focussed on history. The concept is to show the world what a rich and varied history Romania has, that it is not just an ex communist country filled with concrete and lacking a cultural legacy, but being sandwiched between the occident and the orient it’s past is as complex, bloody and intriguing as France, Italy, Spain, Germany or the U.K. We also wanted to show that all the different cultures that exist here, make it more fascinating, more appealing. Maybe in the future we can learn to forgive, to celebrate these differences and leave past grievances behind…for foreign tourists they only make Romania that much richer. We had a very long driving day getting to Romania - from Croatia through Hungary and then finally arriving in Romania. Arriving in a new country and getting used to campervan rules there is always a challenge, especially when you get there so late like we did! You'll notice we're a bit tired and frustrated in this video. We also visit Bigar Waterfall which is beautiful and so unique, but quite tiny!!

Arad ist eine Großstadt ganz im Westen Rumäniens, am Übergang des Kreischgebiets zum Banat und unweit der Grenze zu Ungarn. Sie bietet eine gut erhaltene Festung im Vauban-Stil und eine schöne Altstadt mit viel historischer Bausubstanz aus der Habsburgerära – von Barock bis Jugendstil.

Am fost în cea mai mare piață din vestul României și nu ne-a venit să credem ce prețuri sunt la legume și fructe. Abia acum am aflat defapt cat costă produsele românești pe care niciodată nu le vei găsi în marile magazine. De ce se ascunde oare o astfel de situatie?

Vizită la Centrul de tauri Bos-Genetic, Ungaria. Aici se află cei mai frumoși și mai valoroși tauri din Ungaria. Sunt găzduiți într-o pensiune de lux, primesc toată atenția îngrijitorilor, pentru ca la momentul potrivit să ofere o spermă de calitate cu care să fie însămânțate vacile. Așa se obțin caractere puternice și performanță în producția de lapte. Toate astea le-am învățat în Holstein Ro Progresiv Tour, o delegație extrem de bogată din punct de vedere informativ.
