Solo in Paro Bhutan | Tiger's Nest visit | Bhutan Travel Guide | Bhutan Series Ep 1 | Tanya Khanijow
Here’s presenting the first part of the Bhutan Series Episode in Paro. I went straight to Paro as first part of my road trip in the country. The drive from Phuntsholing took about 4 hours.
The entire budget of my Bhutan trip was close to INR 25k. You can carry cash everywhere in Indian currency in Bhutan as it is accepted. Some things about Paro below:
1. The place where I stayed at in Paro is called Ama’s Village Lodge. You can book the place here -
2. The cost of entry to Taktsang Goempa is INR 500 and a round trip with any driver will cost INR 1000 from your lodge
3. You can contact Mr. Yonten Norbu for driving you around Bhutan if you are visiting. His number is +975 17672515 , my experience with him was extremely nice. He was a perfect gentleman who ensured my safety and also made sure my experience in Bhutan was memorable.
4. If you are visiting Bhutan, I would highly advice you to get a local sim for contacting tour agencies or driver. A local sim will be available for INR 200 at Phuntsholing.
5. Other places that you can visit in Paro are - Paro Dzong and you can get a Hot Stone bath which is very popular in the area
Let me know in comments if you have any more questions.

BHUTAN TRAVEL VIDEO | TOP PLACES TO SEE IN PARO
This video is to guide you for your travel to PARO, Bhutan. Paro is a quite valley in the hart of Bhutan. It hosts the only airport of Bhutan as well. There are multiple shrines and old buildings in PARO. We have previously made multiple vlogs on PARO, THIMPU, PUNAKHA and many other places of Bhutan. Our Bhutan trip is captured at it's very best in those vlogs. But this video is more specific and tells you about the places that you must not miss when you travel to PARO valley. You can consider this as a bhutan tour plan or travel planner. One of the best times to visit Bhutan is during summer because during winter a number of places are covered with snow and there is very little to do outside the hotel room. Exploring Bhutan on bicycle is also a great idea and in PARO valley you can either use a taxi, cycle or walk to places. Although some places like kychu lakhang monastery and tiger's nest monastery are pretty far to considered to be walked on foot. There are definitely videos that talk about 11 places to visit in Bhutan or 5 places to visit in Bhutan, and those are all good. But we believe that that whole of Bhutan is for your to explore. When you think of how to plan your trip to Bhutan from India, there are usually two options. One is through paro airport and there are only couple of airline options available. There are Bhutan blogs and vlogs that you can refer for the cost and convenience but the airway is generally costly. the other way to get to bhutan is through joigaon and phuentsholing. There is an immigration check post where you have to get permit to visit Bhutan and declare for how long you would be staying. The process is more simple for Indian Nationals. when you visit PARO, do visit the following places. taktsang monsatery or tiger's nest is the monastery on the edge of a montain and there is a long hik e to get there. Rinpung Dzong or paro dzong is another place you must visit. The national museum of Bhutan is next to this dzong. It's a great idea to visit the dzong right after dark to take stunning photographs. when you are at bhutan don't miss bhutanese food. specifically datsi which is anything with chese in it. kyichu lakhang monastery is also another popular destination. it's one of the oldest monastery in Bhutan dated to 7th century. Chele la pass is also pretty close to PARO and you should visit this place early in the morning. we are going to provide links to our blog and vlogs here and you can very well go through those for the most detailed information regarding our Bhutan trip.

Paro is a beautiful city in Bhutan. In Paro, there are many sightseeing places like Paro museum, tiger Nest, Chelela pass, and Paro airport. In our tour, we visited all of the places except Chele la pass.
Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.
