Facts :
Maculabo is an island of the Calaguas group of islands[1] in Camarines Norte province of the Philippines. Although part of the Calaguas group, the island is under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Paracale, Camarines Norte. The island serves as a major stop-over going to Tinaga Island where the well-known long beach Mahabang Buhangin is located. The island is about four kilometers long. Locals reside on parts of the Island with farming and fishing as their main source of income.

Beaches in the Philippines | PULANG DAGA - near Calaguas

Pulang Daga (Red Land/Soil) is located in Paracale, Camarines Norte Philippines. I'm not sure but I think it's called Pulang Daga (red soil) because of the red soil found in it's surrounding area and the road going to the beach.

CALAGUAS
Calaguas is a common reference to a group of islands, northeast of Vinzons, Camarines Norte, Paracale and Daet towns in Camarines Norte in the Philippines. It is composed of three major islands; Tinaga Island, Guintinua Island and Maculabo Island and other small islets. Tinaga Island is the most popular to backpackers from Manila and elsewhere due to its famous white sand beach called Mahabang Buhangin, which literally means 'long beach'. Mahabang Buhangin rivals the fine sands of Boracay, a popular tourist destination in Malay.
10 to 12 hour travel from Manila
Roughly a total of 10 to 12 hours by land from Manila, you can reach the breathtaking Calaguas Island. You can take an eight-hour bus ride going to Daet, Camarines Norte from Cubao then ride a jeepney heading to Paracale or Vinzons port from the terminal for about 15 minutes. Once you get to the port, ready yourself for an approximately two-hour boat ride going to the main island.
You can also opt to avail a package tour going to the island for an easier trip. Since there are a lot of travel agencies offering a Calaguas Island tour these days, you won’t be having a hard time finding one. Simply choose a package that meets all your needs and preferences. Usually, the tour includes transportation, food, and accommodation. You will be transported via van and taken to the port for the boat ride.
Calaguas is perhaps one of the most beautiful islands in the country and it is certainly a must-visit destination where you can loosen up and have some fun with your loved ones.
