हनुवंतिया टापू मध्य प्रदेश के खंडवा जिले में मूंदी कस्बे से 16km की दूरी पर स्थित है। पुनासा डैम के निर्माण के दौरान यह टापू अस्तित्व में आया, जिसे बाद में मध्यप्रदेश पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा विकसित किया गया। हनुवंतिया टापू को मध्यप्रदेश का स्विट्जरलैंड भी कहते हैं क्योंकि यहां हरियाली के बीच चारों तरफ फैले झील के पानी के कारण समुद्र सा एहसास होता है।
हनुमंतिया टापू में पर्यटन विकास हेतु कॉटेज, सड़क, कैफे, क्रूज़, नौका विहार, पार्क, घुड़सवारी आदि सुविधा उपलब्ध कराई गई है ताकि पर्यटक यहां अधिक संख्या में प्रकृति का लुत्फ उठा सके। मध्यप्रदेश के इकलौते इस टूरिस्ट आईलैंड में एक वाटर स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स का निर्माण भी किया गया है यहां आप ऊंचाई पर चढ़कर दूर तक फैली झील का नजारा देख सकते है।
हनुवंतिया में जनवरी के समय जल महोत्सव का आयोजन होता है जिसमें आप पतंगबाजी, पैरामोटरिंग, हॉट एयर बलून, वोटिंग आदि गतिविधियों का आनंद ले सकते है। महोत्सव के दौरान यहां आने वाले सैलानियों के रुकने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में अस्थाई कॉटेज बनाए जाते है जिनका किराया देकर आप यहां रुक सकते है। हनुमंतिया टापू के पास में संत सिंगाजी की समाधि स्थित है।
हनुवंतिया टापू के नजदीक में खंडवा रेलवे स्टेशन है और निकटतम हवाई अड्डा इंदौर में है। वैसे तो आप हनुवंतिया टापू घूमने कभी भी जा सकते है लेकिन दिसंबर-जनवरी से यहां खास 'जल महोत्सव' शुरू होता है। झील के किनारे कुछ वातानुकूलित कॉटेज बने है।
