1) Lake Como
Lake Como is located in the northern region of Italy, only 48 kilometres north of Milan. The area of the lake is 146 kilometres, which makes it the 3rd largest lake in Italy after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore and it is the fifth deepest lake in Europe. Como has been famous since the old ages where Celtic tribes settled there followed by the Roman Empire in the 1st century BC. If you are visiting Como, you will see its Roman origins in the orderly grid of streets of its historic centre.
2) Rome
Rome was founded in 753 B.C, by Romulus its first king. Romulus and Remus were the twin sons of Mars, the god of war. As babies they were left abandoned in a basket on the Tiber. Legend has it that a she-wolf rescued them and raised them, but when they grew up, Romulus killed Remus and became the first ruler of Rome. This is also how Rome got its name. Rome was built on seven hills, they were Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, Capitoline Hill, Esquiline Hill, Viminal Hill, Caelian Hill and Quirinal Hill. They were known as the “Seven hills of Rome”.
3) Milan
The second largest city in Italy, Milan is located in the Northern part of the country and served as the capital of the Western Roman Empire from 395 to 476 AD. It is a city world-famous for its contribution to art, literature, music, fashion, and it remains one of the world’s forerunners in education, research, finance, and healthcare. As a result, it is one of the most popular cities in Europe for tourists.

Welcome to Omegna, a pearl set in a natural gulf surrounded by the Alps. The city is reflected in the lake's waters. This is a small world to discover.
In the city that gave birth to Gianni Rodari, the Italian writer and journalist most famous for his children's books, there are plenty of peculiarities to discover, from the birthplace of the illustrious storyteller to the Fantasy Park visited by thousands of children and families every year.
In Omegna, the main activity is walking along the two sides of the lake. Walking along the lake promenade and enjoying Lake Orta's nature and panorama is delightful, regenerating, and relaxing.
From the lake lock gates, keen walkers can follow the course of the Nigoglia river, and venture along a suggestive path to discover the hidden corners of this city. Along the river, you can be attracted by a sign indicating Torre Capra's past position. The Torre Capra, a building that once stood but is now gone, was taken down to make space for the oratory. Its former location is now only indicated by a sign. Constructed in 1800 and later demolished in 1915, the Torre Capra's presence is now just a memory.
In Omegna, Thursday is market day, and has a particularly festive atmosphere, just like during weekends, when it's difficult not to find something to do … or to taste.
Especially in spring and summer, you can embark on a boat called Battello in Italian to navigate the suggestive Lake Orta and discover its beautiful gems.

A Omegna, l'attività principale è camminare lungo le due sponde del lago. Passeggiare sul lungolago e godersi la natura e il panorama del Lago d'Orta è piacevole, rigenerante e rilassante.
Dalle porte del lago, gli appassionati di escursionisti possono seguire il corso del fiume Nigoglia e avventurarsi lungo un suggestivo sentiero alla scoperta degli angoli nascosti di questa città. Lungo il fiume, si può essere attratti da un cartello che indica la posizione passata di Torre Capra. La Torre Capra, un edificio che un tempo sorgeva ma che ora è sparito, è stata abbattuta per fare spazio all'oratorio. La sua posizione precedente è ora indicata solo da un cartello. Costruita nel 1800 e successivamente demolita nel 1915, la presenza della Torre Capra è ora solo un ricordo.
A Omegna, il giovedì è il giorno di mercato, e ha un'atmosfera particolarmente festosa, proprio come nei fine settimana, quando è difficile non trovare qualcosa da fare... o da assaggiare.
