Country in East Africa
Djibouti, on the Horn of Africa, is a mostly French- and Arabic-speaking country of dry shrublands, volcanic formations and Gulf of Aden beaches. It's home to one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, the low-lying Lake Assal, in the Danakil Desert. The nomadic Afar people have settlements along Lake Abbe, a body of saltwater featuring chimneylike mineral formations. ― Google

You will definitely would wish to travel to Djibouti after watching this video. Djibouti is in East Africa, bordered by Eritrea to the north, Ethiopia to the west and south, and Somalia to the southeast. The Gulf of Aden lies to the east. The country can be divided into three regions; the coastal plain and volcanic plateaus in the central and southern parts of the country and the mountain ranges in the north.

Other destinations
Lake Abhe on the Ethiopian border is a desolate, steaming lake surrounded by limestone chimneys and a lunar-esque landscape used as the Forbidden Zone in Planet of the Apes
Lake Assal is Africa's lowest point (157m below sea level) and the saltiest lake outside Antarctica. Its shores are largely salt pans and nearby is Ardoukoba, which last erupted in 1978.

Moucha Island
See
Djibouti has a lot of sights to see throughout the country. Though some areas are barren and poverty stricken, there are still remarkable landscapes and places to visit and see.
Djibouti city. The rising capital and largest city in Djibouti, it acts also as an administrative province. The city hosts a national archives and national library, allowing visitors to learn more about the history of Djibouti. The city also acts as a major transportation hub. Djibouti city shows different aspects of culture, while the majority of the country's population resides around the city. Many who live there are from Somalia, Ethiopia, and Yemen. There are a few mosques throughout the city for worship as there's a predominantly Muslim population.
Lac Assal. 150m below sea level, Lake Assal is the second-lowest point on Earth. You'll need to hire a car or ask someone who lives in Djibouti to drive you there. Expect a rough ride: the roads outside the capital are destroyed by the truck traffic between Djibouti and Ethiopia. The road passes within sight of the Devil's Island, and some impressive views. Expect to be awestruck.
Lac Abbe. Lac Abbe's surreal and outerworldy landscape are the highlight of a trip to Djibouti. It's located in a remote location, near the Ethiopian border, and it's convenient to get a local guide in Dikhil before going off-road for the 80kms until the lake.

Lac Abbe, Djibouti - Off the beaten track adventure in East Africa - Best places to visit in Africa.
Ever heard of Djibouti. Well it is a small country in East Africa. With neighbours like Somalia, Eritrea and Yemen it is not well know as a holiday destination ! Actually Djibouti sees very few travellers except for the whale shark season. It is one of the best places to spot these gentle giants. And if you have a day to spend without diving before flying out we highly recommend to stay a bit longer and organise yourself a two day trip to the Ancient Lakes of Lac Abbe. However we do recommend to visit from November till March since then the temperatures are more comfortable. The landscapes are amazing and you might get to meet the local Nomads heading their cattle and Camels. Your only accommodation available is the Lac Abbe camp. So with a bucket shower and sleeping in a local hut its a true experience. But the views are worth it !!
Enjoy our video and also checkout our Lac Abbe video if you really like to go off the beaten track!

Schon mal was von Dschibuti gehört.

Magaalada Cad | The white city Tadjoura 🇩🇯
Tadjoura is a city in Djibouti, a country in the Horn of Africa. It’s known for its whitewashed houses and many mosques. Nearby is quiet Les Sables Blancs Beach. West of the city, Day Forest National Park is home to juniper forests and birdlife, including the rare Djibouti francolin. MAP OF DJIBOUTI
hello my friends. this is a map of Djibouti. Djibouti is in the Horn of Africa, on the Gulf of Aden and the Bab-el-Mandeb, at the southern entrance to the Red Sea. It lies at the northernmost point of the Great Rift Valley. It is in Djibouti that the rift between the African Plate and the Somali Plate meets the Arabian Plate, forming a geologic tripoint. The tectonic interaction at this tripoint has created the lowest elevation of any place in Africa at Lake Assal, and the second-lowest depression on dry land anywhere on earth.
The country's coastline stretches 314 kilometres , with terrain consisting mainly of plateau, plains and highlands. Its borders extend 575 km , 125 km of which are shared with Eritrea, 390 km with Ethiopia, and 60 km with Somaliland. Djibouti is the southernmost country on the Arabian Plate.
Djibouti has eight mountain ranges with peaks of over 1,000 metres. The Mousa Ali range is considered the country's highest mountain range, with the tallest peak on the border with Ethiopia and Eritrea. It has an elevation of 2,028 metres. The Grand Bara desert covers parts of southern Djibouti in the Arta, Ali Sabieh and Dikhil regions. The majority of it sits at a relatively low elevation, below 1,700 feet.
Extreme geographic points include: to the north, Ras Doumera and the point at which the border with Eritrea enters the Red Sea in the Obock Region; to the east, a section of the Red Sea coast north of Ras Bir; to the south, a location on the border with Ethiopia west of the town of As Ela; and to the west, a location on the frontier with Ethiopia immediately east of the Ethiopian town of Afambo.
Most of Djibouti is part of the Ethiopian xeric grasslands and shrublands ecoregion. The exception is an eastern strip along the Red Sea coast, which is part of the Eritrean coastal desert. THATS ALL. PLEASE COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE FOR THE BEST MAPS.

Whaleshark Liveaboard 2018 - Djibouti Swimming with whale sharks in Djibouti, best travel video.
Ever wanted to dive between the continents. Swim with whale sharks or explore the underwater world of the Seven Brothers between Yemen and Djibouti. We spend two years in Djibouti exploring land and sea. Join us on this adventure and give us your LIKE !
Djibouti is a small country in the horn of Africa most travellers have never heard of. However if you do find yourself going there check out our videos. Diving is great. Best time of the year with good visibility is March - May, which is the best time to dive Seven Brothers. However the Whaleshark season is from November till end January and the best time to swim with these giants. In Djibouti there is a resident population of juvenile (mostly male) whale sharks and due the plankton rich waters the gather in the Bay of Ghoubet. Besides whale sharks the country offers great diving close to the city at Moucha and Maskali Islands. Or spend a day or week trip on a live aboard to explore the pristine reefs.
Also on land the country has few sites to offer. We highly recommend visiting Lac Assal as a day trip or Lac Abbe if you like to go off the beaten track for a day or two. Check out our videos on Lac Assal and Lac Abbe.

Roadtrip to Lac Assal in Djibouti - 2019
Filmed & Editted by Sander Hondeman
A roadtrip with my family to a really beautifull place called Lac Assal in Djibouti. At 155m below sea level, Lac Assal is the lowest point in Africa and the third lowest point in the world after the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. It lies in the Danakil Desert on the Afar Triple Junction where three of Earth’s tectonic plates are pulling apart. The area suffers extreme heat with summer temperatures climbing as high as 52°C. This lake in the centre of Djibouti, is 10 times saltier than the sea. In fact, it’s the second saltiest water in the world.
