Pokuase , Taifa , Dome , Mile 7 , Dome and Agbobloshie are towns on the N6 Kumasi Accra road in the Ga North Municipal in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
Pokuase, also spelled Pokoasi, is a suburb of Accra, the capital city of Ghana and spans the area from Pokuase, leading off the Accra-Kumasi motorway (or the old Nsawam Road) on the right coming from Accra central; and leading off the motorway at Pokuase Junction and rising to ‘Okai Kwei Hill’, on the left coming from town.
Pokuase also has many hotels, guest houses and rental apartments- such as the eco-chic Legassi Gardens Apartments-, and 'high-end' developing residential estates, such as Ofankor Hills Estates and Franko Estates, amongst many others; as well as the long-established executive gated community of ACP Estates.; and HFS Estates which borders the erstwhile Gua Koo Sacred Grove in Pokuase.
Pokuase Junction is one of the busy bus stops for public transport, including buses (trotros) and shared-taxis, along the Accra-Kumasi motorway. The large bus station just at Pokuase Junction provides frequent transport to all sides of Accra, and transport runs as far as Medina, Tema and Spintex Road.
Accra is the 11th-largest metropolitan area in Africa. Pokuase will soon be linked, by the completion in October 2020 of the 4-tier Pokuase Interchange, to Kwabenya, and Ritz Junction; and will be more accessible for Academic City University, Webster University Ghana Campus, The University of Ghana Legon, Ajiringano and East Legon, which will then be a short drive away.

Ghana365 and Maya visited St Georges Height in Ghana this year to check out this secret gem. Amazing hospitality was provided by the staff and owner at St Georges and they showed us all the horses in the stables. We rode the horses and enjoyed the ATVs on the grounds.
A great place to go if you want to step out the city centre and enjoy all of what St Georges has to offer. It includes a swimming pool and modern apartments to stay in during your time.

Ghana, country of western Africa, situated on
the coast of the Gulf of Guinea. Although relatively small in area and population, Ghana is one of the leading countries of Africa, partly because of its considerable natural wealth and partly because it was the first black African country south of the Sahara to achieve independence from colonial rule
1. BLACK STAR SQUARE
Independence-era architecture in Ghana marked a break with traditional British forms and coincided with the modernist movement in architecture which valued functionality and clean lines over ornamentation and decoration. The Black Star Gate was one of the projects commissioned
by Kwame Nkrumah to signify the sovereignty of the new country of Ghana. It was commissioned to mark the state visit of Queen Elizabeth Il to Ghana.
It was undertaken by the Public Works Department in Accra and completed in 1961.
2. KWAME NKRUMAH MUSEUM
The mausoleum designed by Don Arthur houses the mortal remains of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his wife Fathia Nkrumah. It is meant to represent an upside-down sword which in the Akan culture is a symbol of peace. The mausoleum is clad
from top to bottom with Italian marble, With a black star at its apex to symbolize unity. The interior of the Mausoleum boasts marble flooring and a mini mastaba looking marble grave marker surrounded by river-washed rocks.
3. POKAUSI INTERCHANGE
The Pokuase Interchange is a four level stack interchange situated at Pokuase Junction, in Accra, Ghana. It is the the largest interchange in West Africa upon its completion. The interchange was originally a three-tier but was modified on
the advice of the constructor by the Akufo-Addo
administration to a four-tier thereby making it the largest in West Africa. Construction began in 2018 and was commissioned for use on 9 July 2021 by president Nana Akuffo Addo.It lies on the Nsawam Road and connects the Nsawam Road to the George Walker Bush Highway.
