Driving on the Leningradskoe highway at night in the rain, Russia. Virtual Tour. Driving Tour.
Leningradskoe highway (until 1924 - Petersburg highway; in common parlance - Leningradka) - highway in the Northern and Zelenograd administrative districts of Moscow and the urban district of Khimki.
The road is part of the M10 federal road and the E105 European road. The total length of the highway from Leningradsky Prospekt to Sheremetyevskoye Highway is 19.7 km, of which 15.2 km pass through the territory of Moscow, and 4.5 km - through the territory of the Moscow Region.
Names:
1703-1833 - St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, Petersburg-Moscow, Bolshaya St. Petersburg) road.
1833-1915 - Petersburg highway.
1915-1924 - Petrogradskoe highway.
from 1924 - Leningradskoe highway.
Leningradskoe shosse begins in the Sokol area, where, together with Volokolamskoe shosse, it branches off from Leningradsky prospect. Further it follows to the north-west, crosses the railway tracks of the Riga direction along the Victory Bridge and goes through the territory of the Voikovsky district, crossing the tracks of the Moscow ring railway.
In the area of the Vodny Stadium metro station there is a junction with the Golovinskoe highway, a few tens of meters after it the highway enters the territory of the Golovinsky district.
After crossing the Flotskaya Street, Leningradskoe Shosse follows the territory of the Levoberezhny District. At the intersection with Belomorskaya Street there is a clover-shaped interchange. After crossing the Khimki reservoir along the Leningradsky bridge, it crosses the Moscow Ring Road and passes into the Khimki urban district. On its territory, the highway crosses Yubileiny Prospekt and Mayakovsky Street with a two-level interchange, after which there is another in the direction of Novoskhodnenskoye Highway, Mashkinskoye Highway, May 9 Street, as well as an entrance to the Mega-IKEA shopping center.
At the 14th kilometer, the Leningradskoe highway again enters Moscow (Molzhaninovsky district), crosses the October railway tracks along the bridge. Here, to the north-east of the Leningradskoe highway, the International highway departs in the direction of Sheremetyevo airport (Terminals D, E, F). Further on the territory of the district, the highway passes through the former villages (now microdistricts) Novodmitrovka, Novosyolki (adjacent to Okhtinsky passage and Luzhskaya street), Molzhaninovka (adjacent to Molzhaninovskaya street), the village of Novopodrezkovo and the village of Cherkizovo (adjacent to Priozernaya, Sinyavinskaya and Komsomolskaya streets), in the area of which Sheremetyevskoe highway adjoins the road from the northeast, leading to the Sheremetyevo-1 airport (Terminals A, B, C).
Then the Leningradskoe highway again passes through the territory of the urban district of Khimki, the Moscow region, along it the borders of the city of Zelenograd (Matushkino and Savelka districts) pass. Further, the highway follows the Moscow region in the direction of St. Petersburg.
