New Mills to Whaley Bridge | Bridges and Beer walk
On the edge of the Peak District, not far from Buxton, lies the old industrial town of New Mills. I set off to explore what the town had to offer under the guidance of Adam. After visiting the popular sites of the Tors Riverside Park and Millennium Walkway, we headed for a walk down the Peak Forest Canal to Whaley Bridge. Expect Bridges, Beers, Bookshops and much more in this fun day out exploring local towns.
We used the train to get to and from the towns from Buxton (also easily accessible by rail from Manchester and Sheffield). A great day out to be had making the most of public transport to get around the Peak District. Locations and Map links listed below.
