Bacchus Marsh is located approximately 50 kilometres (30 mi) north west of the state capital Melbourne – it is also the mid-way between Melbourne and Ballarat and in a rich and fertile valley that consists of orchards, market gardens and pastoral fields. The township itself has a long history, dating back to the days when gold was first discovered in nearby Ballarat during the 1850s.

The population is approximately 22,250
Today there are many residents that seek a rural lifestyle while commuting by train to the city which takes about 45 minutes.

Bacchus Marsh is another rural township whereby you can load your bicycles on the regional train from Melbourne and cycle around the town.
If you are into adventure or touring motorcycling it is possible to access the town from the CBD of Melbourne via the backroads and void of the highways for a more scenic, slower paced journey.

St Kilda, Victoria, Australia Part 1 of 3

Luckily, I was able to take footage of St Kilda just before the sixth lockdown in Melbourne.

St Kilda is an inner seaside suburb 6km south-east of Melbourne CBD. It is part of Port Phillip local government. At the 2016 census, population was 20,230. It is home to Melbourne tourist attractions including St Kilda Pier, Luna Park, Prince of Wales Hotel and the Esplanade Hotel.

At the turn of the century, it became people's favoured playground with trams linking suburbs to amusement rides. There were also ballrooms, cinemas and cafes and the crows would flock to St Kilda beach.

After the Second World War, St Kilda became a red-light district.
