TRAVEL VLOG PART 1| MAGOROTO MHEZA, TANGA TANZANIA
Hey all so I recently took a camping trip to Magoroto passing through Mkomazi National Park with a tour company called Kananga.
This first part shows the exciting adventure with the tour trucks up to Mkomazi, where we enjoyed a game drive and had a picnic lunch before heading to Magoroto.

Tanzania | Road to Magoroto Forest Estate
The drive from Lushoto to Magoroto Forest Estate is roughly 137 KM and could take anywhere between 4 hours or more depending on the time and day of departure. Fron Lushoto down to Soni is a very scenic ride and from Muheza to Magoroto Forest Estate is field with the bustling sounds of the towns activity getting less and less towards the Estate a haven for disconnecting.

So last month me and my friends planned a trip to Magoroto Forest in Tanga,Tanzania...it was a three day trip but it brought unforgettable memories in our lifes and especially to me. Tanzania | Magoroto Waterfall and Nature Walk Trail
Day one of my visit was parked with light rainy adventure. The forest estate offers 4 trails which can be done in pairs as some paths cross. On this episode we look at the Magoroto Waterfall and Nature Walk Trail. Thankfully the rains started after we completed the hike. It was definitely refreshing to experience the campsite and lake whilst it rained.
The environment is very peaceful and its almost worth your while if you want to cut out big city noises during you visit to Tanzania

THE ESTATE
The Magoroto Forest Estate with its tropical rain forest is the perfect spot for getaway. The estate is located on an altitude of 850m above sea level where temperature are pleasant all year around. Due to the altitude there are almost no mosquitos.
The Estate offers stunning views from the Muheza Valley to the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the lush rain forest with rare plants and bird species or walk through the old palm oil plantation. Learn about organic spice production such as cardamom, pepper, cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, tea and many other useful plants. Have a picnic or swim in our beautiful lake.
ACTIVITIES
Enjoy and experience the wonderful nature up in the mountains. The estate offers a great variety of activities to explore the area.:
Hiking (Short walks to full day trips)
Forest or Village walk
Mountain biking
Picnic at the lake
Swimming
Fishing
Bird watching
Spice Plantation tour (seasonal spice processing)
All activities can be accompanied by English-speaking tour guides.
DIRECTIONS
35 min from Muheza (13km), 1 hour from Tanga, 1 hour from Segera.
In Muheza turn off the main road and drive towards Amani Nature Reserve. 2km outside Muheza turn right at the Amani sign and follow the rough (all weather) road for 11km. When you arrive at the Magoroto Forest Estate sign follow the road for 1km to the headquarters.

Tanga is both the name of the most northerly port city of Tanzania on the west of the Indian Ocean, and the surrounding Tanga Region. It is the regional headquarters of the region. With a population of 273,332 in 2012, Tanga is one of the largest cities in the country. It is a quiet city compared to, for example, Arusha or Moshi with a comparable number of inhabitants. The name Tanga reportedly means sail.
The city of Tanga sits on the Indian Ocean, near the border with Kenya. Major exports from the port of Tanga include sisal, coffee, tea, and cotton. Tanga is also an important railroad terminus, connecting much of the northern Tanzanian interior with the sea. Via the Tanzania Railways Corporation's Link Line and Central Line, Tanga is linked to the African Great Lakes region and the Tanzanian economic capital of Dar es Salaam. The city is served by Tanga Airport.
The harbour and surrounding is the centre of life in Tanga. It has several markets in several neighbourhoods.
