Michigan is one of the fifty states in the United States of America. It is the eleventh biggest state in the United States. It is comprised of two promontories (associated by the Mackinac Bridge): the solitary state to be so. It borders the U.S. territories of Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, and Illinois. Its lines with Minnesota and Illinois are simply by water. It additionally borders Canada by water. It was the 26th state to join the association on January 26, 1837. In 1847, Michigan turned into
the main U.S. state to cancel the demise penalty.

Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan RESTAURANT TOUR
Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan is home to the famous Soo Locks and is a great hub for popular Michigan destinations such as Tahquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point. In addition, the city is also home to some great restaurants. While exploring a little bit of Sault Ste. Marie including the Soo Locks, I head out on a restaurant tour and visit two restaurants.
1. Lockview Restaurant - Open since 1945, the Lockview Restaurant is a popular restaurant in the city which is know for its fresh-caught whitefish. Fishermen catch whitefish from Lake Superior each day and offer some fresh Lake Superior whitefish to the table. I head inside to have some of the great whitefish.
2. Frank's Place - Frank's Place is a popular diner located in town which serves great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had previously been there in 2015 for dinner, so I head into Frank's Place for a delicious breakfast full of blueberry pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs.
Honorable mention: Karl's Cuisine - Karl's is another top restaurant which offers a lot of great food as well. Although I did not have time to visit it in 2021, I had previously visited it in 2015, and the pasties they cook were superb!

Let's Visit Mount Clemens, MI
Although it is not the largest city in Macomb County, MI, Mount Clemens has quite a nice downtown area with a lot of history dating back to when it used to be big in the mineral bath industry. As the county seat of Macomb County, many parks are housed along the Clinton River.
NOTE: The founder of Mount Clemens is Christian Clemens, not Christopher Clemens. Thank you Andrew J for the correction!

The KMG Fireball, On Ride! Ride 2 @ Mount Clemens
There's a Larson Fireball, and a KMG Fireball. Of course, I'm a pendulum lover, and 2008's carnival champ is vying to get itself back as being the best ride again. I say, this was an interesting ride, even with not a lot of people. The screams from the people just across me gave this ride bonus points.

Explore Oregon Recreation: Riddle Brothers Historic Ranch
Welcome to Riddle Brothers Ranch -- part of the historic context of pioneer settlement and the development of the livestock industry in the American West.
Walter, Frederick, and Benjamin Riddle were three bachelor brothers who secured home sites and raised livestock in and around the southeast Oregon ranch on the west flank of Steens Mountain.
Migrating from western Oregon, they settled in the early 1900s and built their ranch by gaining control of water in the area. In the late 1950s the Riddle brothers sold their ranch holding to Rex Clemens. In 1986 BLM purchased the property from Clemens and has since managed the ranch for its historic values.
Riddle Brothers Ranch was part of Oregon's last frontier. It is a uniquely preserved complex of buildings which give testimony to ranch life and the living conditions of the time.
Know Before You Go: Driving access into the ranch is generally permitted Wednesday through Sunday, from mid-June through October. High clearance, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Access by foot, bicycle, or horseback is permitted anytime.
Amenities are few. A vault restroom is available, but drinking water, overnight use areas, cell phone service and other conveniences are not.
Avoid disturbing historical sites or artifacts. Leave these remnants of the past for others to enjoy.
From Bums, take State Highway 78 southeast for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto State Highway 205 and travel south for 60 miles to Frenchglen. Continue on 205 through the town of Frenchglen and up P Hill, travel approximately 10 miles, then turn left on the Steens Mountain Loop Road south entrance. The turn-off to Riddle Brothers is approximately 20 miles from Highway 205.
