Montmorillon, Vienne, France an introduction.
Welcome to Montmorillon in the Vienne department of France. My new home town and base for exploring regional France and all the fabulous things it has to offer. In this video I will show you an introduction to this fabulous place. You will find out about two of its most famous residents as well as information about the region itself. Come explore Montmorillon in this first of many videos of the town.
It's been months since I put out a video. So much has changed in the world due to the Covid19 Pandemic. But some parts of life are always changing so now I'm back and have changed Travelling Fabulously. We will now be exploring Regional France together with an emphasis on my new home town of Montmorillon in the Vienne region of France.
Is there any better way to travel then fabulously, I don't think so, that's why fabulous is my motto. My name is Andrew Prior and in 2013 I was a contestant on MasterChef Australia.
After leaving the show I set up Queenie's Food Tours in Melbourne which became the premier walking food tour company for four years. Then I moved to France in 2016 to do Paris tours and a Le Cordon Bleu cooking course.
Combined with some interesting facts, fun, crazy eye movements and a big belly we will explore, taste and discover things through my eye's, crazy yes but fun surely. Regional France has never been explored so fabulously then with me on Travelling Fabulously of course.
Subscribe to fabulousness by clicking the link below and make sure you hit the bell notification button so that each time I release a new video you will get an email.

Vienne, France is Filled with Roman History
Vienne has been occupied since earliest Antiquity and is one of France's Cities of Art and History. Imposing monuments date back to1BC! Temple of Augustus and Livia; one of the largest theatres in Roman Gaul; and Garden of Cybele. Unfortunately, Saint-Maurice Cathedral, from the 12th Century with renowned carved portals, is mainly covered in scaffolding. Sigh. An interesting excursion. Places to see in ( Beziers - France ) Villeneuve les Beziers
Places to see in ( Beziers - France ) Villeneuve les Beziers
Whether you are in a boat, on a bicycle or in your car, Villeneuve les Beziers is an essential step on the course of the Canal du Midi. Stop by and discover the homeland of the Occitan poet Jean Lauris.
Villeneuve les Beziers was originally a Roman settlement, but its true identity begins at the time of Charlemagne. Destroyed by fire in the Middle Ages, it was known as the Crémade Villeneuve until 1631, when it took its current name. A chateau was once home to the family members of the local feudal lord. It was destroyed in 1925 and now lays in ruins, although one of its towers has recently been renovated.
You will also find a Romanesque church from the eleventh century, whose apse and bell tower house two bells named Bernadette and Roseline which are listed historical monuments. The Canal du Midi (World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO) and the eighteenth century canal lock are part of the heritage of the town.
( Beziers - France ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Beziers . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Beziers - France

A Modern Mother discovers the French Ardennes
Come with A Modern Mother as she discovers what to do in the French Ardennes with families.
She visits Charleville-Meziers, the puppet capital of the world, and goes canoeing, cycling on the Trans-Ardennes cycle path, and zip lining on the Fantasticable at Terraltitude. Then she discovers Sedan, and the largest castle fortress in Europe, and stays the night in a castle. She also visits artisan brewery Ardwen.
Disclosure: I was on a press trip with the Ardennes Tourist Board. All opinions are my own.

Ruffec (Charente) To Beynac (Dordogne) - September 2022
We've had a few days off from filming and editing (and we are also having WiFi problems). In this episode of Escapades in France, we move on with our caravan (The Beast) from our campsite near Ruffec to another one we have been on several times in Beynac, Dordogne. We get an excellent pitch with stunning views of Beynac castle and eventually get our awning and gazebo up. Dave pigs out on baked goods and Jean struggles with pan and zoom as well as trying to do voiceovers on a campsite.

CB13272 - 3 Houses - Montmorillon - € 169 600 - https://propertysalesinfrance.com/property/CB13272
For Sale 3 Houses or Gîtes - Montmorillon - Vienne
For sale in a village near to Montmorillon in the Vienne, Nouvelle Aquitaine are these three attached houses, currently used as a main residence and two gîtes; but the complex could quite simply be a family affair, if preferred with one of the gîtes being a bungalow, ideal for elderly relatives. This could also be suitable for someone with a few horses, the current owner bought it for that very reason.
Once you enter through the main front gates of the property you have a parking area, but you could just as easily come on to the complex via the lane at the back leaving the front free for guests; however, there is parking here for several cars. The back of the property looks over the orchard and land with a quiet access lane and countryside beyond.
The village is within easy driving distance of two main rivers; the Gartempe and the Vienne which are surrounded by many tourist attractions including Futuroscope, Civaux, Dienne, and the CPA at Lathus (only 10 minutes away) which has water sport facilities (international events are held there) as well as an equestrian centre; making this an ideal holiday base, with plenty to do almost on your doorstep; if you are that way inclined!
You are only 4km from a general store and restaurants in Moulismes and only 8kms from the town of Montmorillon which as well as having an amazingly popular tourist attraction in the Cité de l’Écrit has shops, bars, and all other amenities needed for everyday living. There is also a train station in Montmorillon with trains to Poitiers and Limoges.
Poitiers train station also has cross platform TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux and other French cities plus Brussels and London (via Lille).
Poitiers and Limoges Airports are both around 1 hours’ drive, both having a great variety of flights into the UK and other European destinations.
The village straddles a road and these properties rest towards the of the village, near the road, with its main gardens and land to the back bordering a very quiet land only used by people who live there (3/4 houses)
The house benefits from mains electricity and water; drainage is to a septic tank and is double glazed. The heating is mixed with gas central heating in 2 houses and oil fired in the other: together with wood burning stoves.
The property really must be seen to be appreciated.
