Mont Saint Hilaire is a 414 metres high hill, in the Monteregie region, situated around 30 km east of Montreal. Mont Saint Hilaire was created 125 million years ago when magma came out from the center of the Earth. Its initial elevation was around 2000 metres but due to the Ice Age and then the melting of the glaciers it was severely erodated.
