UNSEEN AFGHANISTAN - The Ancient City of Qala-e-Bost (3000+ yrs old)

Qala-e-Bost (Persian: کھنه د بوست, Old Bost), also romanized Qalai Bust, is a fortress in Bost, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, built 3000 years ago near the convergence of the Helmand and Arghandab Rivers, a half-hour's drive south of Lashkargah. Qala-e-Bost is famous for its 11th century decorative arch, which appears on the 100 Afghani note (Afghan currency). The arch is part of the remains of a mosque.

3,000 year old Castle in Afghanistan: Qala-e -Bost

Helmand Afghanistan, this is my second time here at this amazing place! Qala e Bost as its called. The first time i literally had no info about the place...this time i knew a bit more and my friend that took me knows lots about many historical places. for Helmand its mandatory to have an armed guard.... nowhere else in Afghanistan has this happened, only here...you dont have to pay for this, it happens in some parts of Pakistan also. Anyone into history and archeologists would love love this place...its been untouched for about 40 years! its Afghanistans greatest cultural heritage sights. perhaps UNESCO needs to come take a look sometime and help this place, it would be a masterpiece with some renovation before it crumbles away .
this was a long day as there are ruins of buildings and another castle a couple of miles away which we explored also and met with some locals in the main area of Lashkar Gah which will be in the next vlog!! thanks for watching .. also check out Stephan the Germans channel @MyExpatDiary
