Not to be mistaken with Quezon City, the province of Quezon. A 2 to 3 hours drive from manila.
It’s accessibility and proximity to Manila is another reason why the province has become a popular weekend getaway destination.

Also called Little Boracay in Quezon Province, this is Cagbalete island which is very much accessible via Mauban Port. Book your stay in any resort. They can help you look for a private boat or if you choose to get on a regular boat ride, you may coordinate with the Tourism Office.
We stayed in Aquazul Resort and Hotel. The front beach is not as good as you may expect but to go to the best tourist sites, you can hire a boat for island hopping or get a habal habal ride.

Definitely, will go back to this island pards. The sand is so white, shore is huge, water is clean and the people are so nice.

Note that there are few resorts in Cagbalete in Mauban, Quezon. If you are looking for a beach resort in Cagbalete Island, I would highly recommend Doña Choleng Beach Resort.
Note though that Cagbalete Island does not have luxurious resorts. If you are looking for a beach resort in Cagbalete Island with good rooms, Aquazul is the perfect resort for you. However, its downside is its beachfront. I'm recommending Doña Choleng Beach Resort as it situated where Cagbalete's fine white sands and crystal clear waters.

Here's my VLOG of our weekend trip in the beautiful Cagbalete Island in Mauban, Quezon Province, Philippines This unplanned trip turned out to be one of the best trips we had this 2018!
We left our home at 1:30 AM and arrived in JAC Liner Buendia station to for a bus ride going to Quezon. Unfortunately the bus going straight to Mauban leaves at 4:00 AM. We were to early and decided to ride a bus going to Lucban instead. The bus ride took 3 hours. In Lucban, we took a 1 hour van ride going to Mauban, Quezon. In Mauban port, we took a 1 hour boat trip to Cagbalete Island.
We were initially considering staying at Aquazul Resort but we stayed at Dona Choleng resort. We heard from some locals that the beach on Dona Choleng is better than Aquazul's.

Walking Around MAUBAN Town Proper | Quezon, Province Philippines | 4k
Getting to Mauban, you will have to ride a bus from Manila bound to Lucena City, the capital of Quezon Province. The last bus stop would be Lucena's Grand Terminal, and from there you will have to ride another bus bound to the town of Mauban. The scenery along the way would be typical of any rural towns in the country. Since Quezon Province is composed of valleys and mountains, it common to see terrace fields, but not too steep as compared to the ones in Benguet. The main crop planted in these fields is rice, but it is also common to see vegetable farms.
