As of June 9, France is updating their travel restrictions to allow travellers from many countries to visit without quarantining! (Travellers must be fully vaccinated, and not all countries are included - so do some Googling for more info!)
For those of you who want to make the most of your upcoming travels, you can use Paris, France as a base to see other parts of France and even venture into neighbouring countries (as restrictions ease) to see more of the sights on your trip. While all of these locations are possible to visit in a day, you may want to dedicate more time (if you have it) to really see the area. But if you want a highlight of the area, a day trip can work well too!

I finally found some time to finish my vlog about a trip we took in the french countryside last October 2021 during the fall season in France. 🇫🇷 I know it's been a while! How have you been? I'm sorry I got busy with travel and sometimes I just couldn't focus on editing! 😬
Anyways...
🏰I have never heard about the Loire Valley before but now that I've seen it for a couple of days I absolutely want to go back!
🔝I'm sure it's on the top list of things to see and do in France.
The Loire Valley is one of the most visited locations in France just 2-3 hours away from Paris.
🗺It is located in the regions of the Centre-Val-de-Loire and Pays-de-la-Loire.
It is also referred to as the Garden of France for the abundance of vineyards and fruit orchards - an excellent place for wine tours and gastronomic adventures.
🏆No wonder the whole valley is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE.
🚗We had an enchanting roadtrip in the Loire Valley as it is filled with amazing scenery from vineyards to medieval towns, beautiful vilages, and magnificent chateaus.
🏰We went to three chateaus:
Chateau de Chenonceau,
Chateau Royal d'Amboise,
and
Chateau de Saumur.
🚂The valley is well connected by trains and buses and you can choose your itinerary since there are about 300 chateaus in here.

The longest river in France has been part of the history of the Touraine region since time immemorial. It once brought prosperity to the Loire Valley. Today, it continues to meander through Tours and other towns and villages, to end its travels in the Bay of Biscay, in Western France.
Tours - and other cities - would not be the same without it. Locals know how to make the most of their time along the riverbanks of this magnificent and often stormy river.

Each of these 2 lovely ladies, with their dogs, lives nearby. One lady invited me to have tea in her beautiful house, lost in the deep forest, a five-minute drive from the Abbaye. I was amazed by the serenity and magnificence of the house and her way of life.
