A Trip to the Exciting and Entertaining City of Legazpi Philippines ✨
Hello Guys! Welcome, and I’m back in the Philippines, taking an early morning flight from Manila to Legazpi to explore the city, and I will visit Daraga Church and the Mayon volcano.

Legazpi, the capital of the province of Albay and the center of government for the region of Bicol is one of the most popular places to visit in the Philippines and one of the fastest-growing cities.
Legazpi City is the place to be if you're looking for an adventure. With the picture-perfect Mayon Volcano as a backdrop, the rough terrain of this city in Albay has become the best place in the Philippines to have fun and try new things.
But Legazpi and its towns offer much more than just an adrenaline-pumping experience. Albay is a great place to visit, whether you want to go on a thrilling ATV ride through rough terrain or would rather spend your vacation eating delicious food.
When planning my trip to the Philippines, I made sure to include a stop at the city of Legazpi.
Today, I took an early morning flight from Manila to Legazpi. When I got there, I went to the hotel @RedDoorz S&L Apartelle Daraga Albay, which I had already reserved.
It's one of the best options for standard, affordable hotel accommodation in Legazpi, Albay. The hotel has a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere for those who want to rest after exploring the beautiful city with a view of the majestic Mayon Volcano.
Then I started my trip to see the famous Daraga church in Albay on a tricycle, which broke down twice trying to get us to the top of the hill.
The baroque-style Daraga Church is on a hill with a view of the majestic Mayon Volcano, making it the perfect place to take pictures of the breathtaking scenery. But what really gets people's attention about Daraga Church isn't praying or looking at the beautiful view. It's the church's rich history.
Albay has many churches, but Daraga Church should be at the top of your list. The volcanic stone walls of the Baroque church from the 18th century have seen many important historical events, such as the eruption of the Mayon Volcano in 1814, which killed 2,000 people. During World War II, the church was the headquarters for the Japanese army.
One of the best things to do in the Philippines is to spend the day at Daraga Church, where you can also take in breathtaking views of the Mayon Volcano.

Jupiter² was built in the Philippines by an Australian designer for Jamie. During his time away from work, Jamie lived on board and cruised South East Asia. One of his life dreams is to sail around the world. His plans came together at the end of 2018 when he met a Filipina lounge singer in China. Princess was yearning for a vacation since she had been working many years to support her family. Finally, her siblings got their own jobs and she decided to join Jamie on Jupiter² and go sailing. It was a wild decision for her because she had never sailed before. For the first time, they sail for two weeks around Phuket, Thailand. She began to see what Jamie love about the sea. They both resigned from their jobs in early 2019 and began cruising full time.
Hopefully some inspiration to Quit Job and Go Sailing.

Japan is famous for their wagyu beef, with the different types of beef ranging from A1 (lowest grade) to A5 (highest grade). The restaurant we visited today specializes in A5 wagyu beef yakiniku (grilled at the table). They update their menu daily and are locally renowned as serving some of the tastiest beef in Japan.
🥩VARIETY OF BEEF: We sampled Hokkaido beef, which head chef and owner Mr. Hirashima prepared for us; wagyu sashimi, a special off-menu delicacy; and 5 varieties of wagyu including: Zabuton (Chuck Flap), Beef Tongue, Sankaku Bara (Chuck Short Rib), Kamenokou (Knuckle) and Misuji (Top Blade), all served with side sauces of soy sauce, lomon and a special apple sauce.

Ruyuriya has been a staple in Japan for 13 years, famous for their 101 different varieties of hotpot.
🍲SUKIYAKI: There are two ways to eat sukiyaki →
1. Dipping Sukiyaki: First lite the stove with the pan on it, placing the beef fat in the hot pan and continuing to move it around. Remove the beef fat and add tiny sugar cubes. Then pour in the mixture of soy sauce, cooking alcohol and sugar, mixing everything together. Poach the beef in the pan, allowing it to absorb the sauce. Finally, dip the beef into a raw egg and then eat!
2. Sukiyaki Hotpot: Begin by pouring in the mixture of soy sauce soup, then add sugar, onion, leaks, tofu, radish, konnyaku (konjac jelly), scallion, shitaki mushroom, enoki mushroom, tungho and wagyu beef. Mix it all together and enjoy!
🥩SHABU SHABU: This beef dish comes from Matsusaka, Japan, a region known for their high-quality beef that has a high fat-to-meat ratio. Typically, this meat is served with sides of soy sauce and vinegar or sashimi sauce. The beef is often poached in boiled water for 5-10 seconds before being dipped into the sauce and eaten.

Wakakaisekiyamatokan has been serving some of the finest beef in Tokyo for 27 years. They are famous for their private space, where guests have a private room with a private chef preparing their food right in front of them.
🥩This restaurant offers three mains kinds of wagyu beef: Kitasasuma beef from Kagoshima, Hida beef from Gifu and Yonezawa beef from Yamagata. They also offer Washoku, traditional foods of Japan, typically including rice, miso soup and seasonal side dishes.

Momiji-tei, an okonomiyaki restaurant in Hiroshima, has filmed for the first time in a year.
A small local okonomiyaki restaurant where anime, game, and car lovers gather is very popular among foreign tourists. On the day of filming, customers from 14 different countries visited the restaurant in one day. We caught up with the two chefs, who were busy but still treated each customer with hospitality, carefully grilling each okonomiyaki one by one.

» THE TRADITIONAL THAI FOOD
1. KO BOO ROD ZING: Tom Yum Noodles
ADDRESS: Soi Nawamin 8, Thanon Seri Thai, Khlong Chan, Bang Kapi, Bangkok
OPEN: 24 hours (Mon-Sat)
Ko Boo Rod Zing opened nearly 50 years ago and the owner, Auntie Tang, is recognized as the first person to add perfectly poached eggs to Tom Yum noodles. Along with their addition of Thai chili, this has become the signature dish of Ko Boo Rod Zing, adored by locals and tourists alike.
🌶INGREDIENTS: 5 different kinds of noodles (customers can mix the noodles together), dumpling (optional), pork, pork meatballs, tom yum soup (chili powder, chili jam, peanuts, scallions, vinegar), 2 poached eggs.
🍜TOM YUM NOODLES: Soak the noodles in boiled water before removing and placing in a bowl. Add dumplings to the noodles and two poached eggs. Pour tom yum soup over everything and enjoy.
💸PRICE: 1.67 USD/55 TBH for normal bowl | 1.97 USD/65 TBH for big bowl with all toppings
2. SRI MORAKOT: Khao Mo Daeng (Roasted pork belly with rice)

Sri Morakot opened 50 years ago and remains a favorite lunch spot for locals to this day. Local tip, add the signature seasoning (pickle chili) for a slightly sweet and sour taste. It also brings more texture to Khao Mo Daeng.
🍚KHAO MO DAENG: Rice, pork belly, char siu meat, duck eggs, cucumber, Chinese sausage topped with condensed rich meat sauce (pork stock, garlic, starch, soy sauce, chilli, pepper and Chinese herbs)

3. THIP SAMAI: Pad Thai
ADDRESS: 313-315 Maha Chai Rd, Khwaeng Samran Rat, Khet Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200

Thip Samai is synonymous with the best pad thai Bangkok has to offer. The Bangkok establishment has been a go-to spot for locals and tourists for 79 years and is on its third generation. They introduced the concept of using shrimp-head oil to stir-fry their noodles, giving them an orange hue, and then encasing the pad thai in a super-thin layer of omelet.
🦐PAD THAI SONG-KREUNG: A combination of various quality ingredients, including shrimp oil, fresh extra-size deep-sea prawns, and sliced squid. Then finely garnished with crabmeat and sliced raw mango, giving sour flavor instead of lime juice, before served on a special and gorgeous dish. In addition, you can choose to enjoy deliciousness from either Chan noodle or glass noodle.*

We Were Followed by a Taiwanese TV Crew in Taipei
We're on TV in Taiwan! We got a phone call that Taiwan's national news service found out we were in Taiwan and wanted to film a feature on us. A delightful news crew from Taiwan's Public Television Service followed us around for the day as we filmed our video and explored Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei. We did a sit down interview with the reporter who asked us a wide array of questions, including lots about travel in Taiwan. The reporter said she's been following our channel since we first visited Taiwan and made our first YouTube series in 2018! We had such a fun time and it's surreal to see ourselves broadcast on national news in Taiwan.
Songshan Cultural and Creative Park is the creative hub of Taipei, Taiwan. It was once a tobacco factory and, as they're so good at doing in Taiwan, it's been reimagined into a new and unique space. We're so glad they didn't knock it down. Here you can find places to eat and drink and lots of great shopping with unique items made by makers in Taiwan.
