Karakuli Mountain - District Loralai - Balochistan - Pakistan

Karakuli/Karakul is a table-top mountain at Dargai Sargarh village, in the district of Loralai, Balochistan.
The GPS coordinates of this rock are 30°32'51.23N and 68° 4'15.12E.
Although locals use various names for this mountain such as Chinali, Chinjinr Sar and Dargai, however, Karakoli is the most common one, reminiscing Quaid-e-Azam's unique cap design.
This beautifully crafted knoll is about 427 km (8 hrs) from Multan City (via Loralai) and approximately 195 km (3 hrs) from Quetta city (via Qilla Saifullah). This is the CPEC East West Corridor.
Road conditions from Quetta to Qilla Saifullah are perfect, however, from Loralai, the road is uneven/in shambles (traveling time approximately an hour).
A bit inclined upward from the Western side this mountain attains a maximum height of 7,835 feet, whereas the ground level at the Chinali village is around 6,800 feet.
This clearly indicates that this rocky formation is above 1,000 feet tall from its base. The total area of this Karakuli mountain top is approximately 9.25km, as measured by Google Earth Pro.
Maximum length of the mountain is 4km from one end to another and maximum width is approximately 0.75km, measured via Google Earth Pro.
This hillock is devoid of any trees, however, wild shrubs, herbs and flora are present all over the top, as well as the landscape.
Significant tectonic rock layers of various colours can easily be seen reminding that this dome belongs to prehistoric era.

quetta to Loralai Rd

Most Popular district of Balochistan | Travel Vlog | Ziarat | Balochistan | Pakistan

Ziarat the capital of Ziarat District, Balochistan Province, Pakistan. It is a holiday resort, about 130 km from the capital city of Balochistan province Quetta. The famous Quaid-e-Azam Residency is also there in the valley, where Quaid spent a few of his most memorable days. Tourists from all over Balochistan and also from Sindh province visit the valley in the harsh summers. Its overall cold weather, fascinating sceneries, lush green forests and mighty mountains attracts tourists of all kinds.May to September are months of peak tourist visits. Specially in the days of Eid festive and other national or religious the valley is full packed. The 2016's Eid experienced about 0.4 million people visiting. The hill station is easily accessible from Quetta through a Highway. While accessing it from Loralai is little difficult due to bad road conditions. The third way of accessing the valley is through Harnai District although it is pretty dangerous near Dumiara waterfall. The main road of the station is Jinnah road which also called the red zone of the valley due to a large numbers of government and askari resorts and buildings there, a few of which are: Frontier Corps Resthouse Governor House IG Police House Panther Lodge (Army) Juniper Lodge (Army) Quaid-e-Azam Residency Commissioner House CM Balochistan HouseZiarat Juniper ForestNear Ziarat is a juniper forest also called sanober, which features the species Juniperus excelsa polycarpos. Pakistan’s largest juniper forest is located in this reserve. The ecosystem is of inestimable value for biodiversity conservation. It is also of great ecological significance, providing local, regional, and global benefits.
