In the early morning of today (April 9), a fire broke out in a flower, bird, fish and insect market in Guangzhou. According to multiple on-site videos released by netizens, the fire started at the New World of Flowers, Birds, Fish and Insects in Fangcun. The fire at the scene was relatively large and many shops were engulfed in flames.
At 2:03 on April 9, 2024, the detachment command center received a report of a fire alarm in Baiyi City, No. 101 Huabo Avenue, Hailong Street, Liwan District. 在公共事務方面，1948年至2010年任澳門中華總商會理事、副理事長、副會長、會長。 1950年任中華教育會理事、副會長、榮譽顧問等職。 1952年任勞工教育協進會主任。 另外自1950年後在澳曾任籃排球總會、乒乓總會、游泳總會、象棋總會等會長，澳門東亞大學董事會主席、諮詢會主席，濠江中學、培道中學、商訓夜 中學、廣大中學、青洲小學、鏡平小學等校董會主席。 在國內曾任華南企業公司、廣東華僑投資公司、廣東國際信託投資公司、廣州國際信託投資公司、中國國際信託投資公司董事、副董事長等職。

Zhujiang New Town, Mall of the World, Sacred Heart Cathedral, & People's Park | Guangzhou, China
It's a fine day here in Guangzhou! We rode the public transport here in Guangzhou like bus and then we go the Metro subway which is more convenient to go to one place to another and we're on our way to the Zhujiang New Town. The place is home for many other places and buildings like the amazing view of the Canton Tower, the Guangzhou library and the Guangdong Museum. We also go to the Mall of the World to shop and eat from a food store.
After we eat, we enjoyed the coming of the evening by looking at the Canton Tower and some amazing view in the Zhujiang New Town. The lights are dancing and it is indeed an icon of the city of Guangzhou.
After we enjoyed Zhujiang New Town, we are now on our way to one of the places that is a must to visit for all the Catholics, the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Then we visited the People's Park at Night where we enjoyed the loud music and the dancing of the people.
I saw some people singing karaoke. I don't understand their singing but I can feel the mood.

WHAT TO DO IN GUANGZHOU - COFFEE SHOPS AND ZNT PARK - GOPRO 10 5K
In this video, you will see Dongshankou which is a very local traditional area near the financial district of Guanzgzhou, here you will find many coffee shops, fashion stores, art galleries, restaurants, bars, and local fast food.
Next is Tianhenan area which is located south of grand view mall, filled with coffee shops, restaurants, fast food stores, and fashion shops.
From there we take a walk south into Zhejian new town park and check out the canton tower view.

Disclaimer: This is situated on a public beach with the entrance fees and cottage rentals made very affordable - do not expect too much. There are many visitors coming since the place is new and it's summertime. I came to visit on a weekday (Monday) and still it's busy.
How to get there?
Location: Sitio Bantayan, Poblacion Cordova, Northern Cebu - approximately 45 minutes away from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
By V-hire: Go to SM City Cebu Van Terminal ride a van going to Cordova. The van will drop you off at Gaisano Grandmall Cordova, from there you may ride a tricycle going to Bantayan Bay or you may ride a taxi.
By Public Vehicle: Navigate with waze or google maps and set your destination to Gaisano Grandmall Cordova. From there, ask around for directions going to Sitio Bantayan or Bantayan Bay.

1920年代始，惠愛路（今中山四、五、六路）一帶商業繁華地段形成了具有相當規模和特色的騎樓街風貌。 1990年代初，因中山路沿線建造地鐵一號線，中山四、五、六路的騎樓街被大幅清拆（中山六路只有一小部分沒被清拆）。當中被拆除的老字號包括：艷芳照相館、惠如樓、緻美齋（唯一回遷，鋪面大幅縮水）、大學鞋店、新陶芳大酒家、滄洲臘味店、妙奇香、一樂也理髮店、華北飯店、菜根香、北園、東江飯店、利南樓、新華戲院、新星戲院、鶴鳴鞋店、孔旺記、雞林（食檔）、精益眼鏡店、永華傢俱商場、劉富興飯店、亨得利鐘錶等。
1919年（民國8年），惠愛街拓寬改建為近代馬路，兩側興建騎馬建築，定名為惠愛東、中、西三路（今中山四、五、六路）。 1921年（民國10年），向東開闢大東路（今中山三路）；1925年（民國14年），築成百子路（今中山二路）。 1926年（民國15年），修築了東山口至黃埔的中山公路，因該公路按照孫中山《建國方略》中的「實業計畫」意圖建築，故而得名。
1921年，西園酒家在惠愛西路開業，是一座園林式酒家，號稱廣州四大園林酒家（其餘三個：文園、南園、謨覲）之一。西園有一道齋菜鼎湖上素，據說為了與六榕寺附近一家齋菜館競爭，他們暗中用雞和豬肉熬製上湯烹調，達致味道鮮美，引到不少食家。
1926年明星戲院（後改名為明星映畫院、新星電影院）在惠愛中路開幕。
1929年，當局接收惠愛東城隍廟一帶，開始改造為國貨市場。 1931年，國貨市場正式開張，分為「國貨陳列室」、「國貨商標展覽」及「國貨推銷場」三個部分。原來的城隍神像則送往中山大學博物館和越秀山市立博物館收藏。

1931年（民國20年）陳濟棠主政廣東時期，擬興建西南鐵橋（今珠江大橋位置）以便交通粵西，並規劃從正西門以西開闢馬路直通鐵橋。長庚路（今人民路）至光復北路一段叫石崗街，再往西是聚龍東路（光復北路至康王直街，今康王北路）、恩龍大街（至陳家祠門口） 、陳家祠馬路（陳家祠門口起至今中山八路荔灣南約）及荔灣南約馬路（荔灣南約起至南岸車站，今中山八路），其中長庚路至荔灣路今屬中山七路，原陳家祠馬路一段和荔灣南約馬路今屬中山八路。
1932年新華影畫院（1957年改建為廣州第一家身歷聲寬銀幕電影院）在惠愛中路開幕。
1933年因市政經費緊缺停建，其後抗日戰爭爆發，廣州淪陷，該段新路直至抗戰勝利都未有徹底治理，因路面破爛不堪，被市民戲稱為“爛馬路”。 1940年代後期，原中山公路西段（東山口至楊箕）易名為中山一路，百子路、大東路、惠愛東、中、西三路和正西門以西的新路則分別被命名中山二、三、四、五、六、七路。
1950年代，中山七路西門口至陳家祠高基段幾經改造及開闢擴展，後再向西拓寬至三聖社（今荔灣路南段一帶）；1960年代，為配合珠江大橋通車，拓寬中山八路，直抵珠江大橋東廣場。

In 1931 (the 20th year of the Republic of China), when Chen Jitang was in charge of Guangdong, he planned to build the Southwest Iron Bridge (now the location of the Pearl River Bridge) to facilitate transportation in western Guangdong, and planned to open a road from the west of the Zhengxi Gate directly to the iron bridge. The section from Changgeng Road (now Renmin Road) to Guangfu North Road is called Shigang Street. Further west is Julong East Road (from Guangfu North Road to Kangwang Street, now Kangwang North Road), Enlong Street (to the entrance of Chen Clan Academy), Chen Clan Academy Road (from the entrance of Chen Clan Academy to Zhongshan Eighth Road, Liwan South) and Liwan South Road (from Liwan South to Nan'an Station, now Zhongshan Eighth Road). Among them, Changgeng Road to Liwan Road is now Zhongshan Seventh Road, and the original section of Chen Clan Academy Road and Liwan South Road are now Zhongshan Eighth Road.
In 1932, Xinhua Film and Television (rebuilt into Guangzhou's first stereo wide-screen cinema in 1957) opened on Huiai Middle Road.
In 1933, construction was stopped due to a shortage of municipal funds. Later, the Anti-Japanese War broke out and Guangzhou fell. This section of the new road was not completely managed until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Because the road surface was in a dilapidated state, it was nicknamed rotten road by citizens. In the late 1940s, the western section of the original Zhongshan Highway (Dongshankou to Yangji) was renamed Zhongshan 1st Road, and Baizi Road, Dadong Road, Huiai East, Middle and West Roads and the new road west of Zhengximen were named Zhongshan 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Roads respectively.
In the 1950s, the section from the west gate of Zhongshan 7th Road to the high-base section of Chen Clan Temple was renovated and expanded several times, and then widened westward to Sanshengshe (now the southern section of Liwan Road); in the 1960s, in order to cooperate with the opening of the Pearl River Bridge, Zhongshan 8th Road was widened to the East Square of the Pearl River Bridge.
