NOVEMBER 2, 2017—We just came from Kilangitan Bat Cave and now we are back to the soggy trails en route to our next cave in Libmanan. Apparently, it rained while we were inside Kilangitan Cave so the trail is now even much soggier.
The muddy trail turned into the river itself. Yes, we are basically trekking on the river. The same river that flows directly out of Kiminsoro Cave and Underground River, which is where we are headed.

Chasing Waterfalls in the Jungles of Libmanan

NOVEMBER 2, 2017—This is the 3rd and last part of our Maximum Outdoor Adventures (#MOA) in the jungles of Libmanan, in Camarines Sur.
Through Kaddlagan OutdoorAdventure Travel we made arrangements to experience a full day packed with extreme adventures in the hilly jungles of Libmanan, a 1st class town about an hour south of Naga City.
Earlier in the day we started our adventure by trekking on muddy and soggy foot trails to visit Kilangitan Cave, a very interesting bat cave. From KIlangitan Cave we continued trekking on even muddier and soggier foot trails, and then eventually traced a shallow river to the mouth of Kiminsoro Cave, a little explored cave and underground river that is believed to be at least a few kilometers long. We entered and reached about a quarter of a kilometer deep into the cave before we were forced to turn back because it was already getting very late and our head lamps were also already running out of power.
It was already about 4pm when we hit the trail again for our last destination in Libmanan, a series of cascading waterfalls (actually a multi-tiered waterfall). We were told that if we had time we could have seen at least seven waterfalls.
We managed to see three. And they're all gorgeous. Our guides were quite disappointed that they did not get to show us the other waterfalls which, according to them, are even bigger and more beautiful that the ones we saw. Oh well, we reluctantly left and made a solemn vow to come back to Libmanan for sure.

Chasing Waterfalls: Malabsay Falls

NOVEMBER 4, 2017—It was our last day of our CamSurAdventures family tour in Camarines Sur when we visited Malabsay Falls.We've done really extreme activities the past few days — from spelunking on a cave with an underground river in Libmanan to rappelling in a waterfall in Mount Isarog — that we decided to do a relatively easy and simple activity on this day. We're back on the foot of Mt. Isarog but this time via Panicuason in Naga City, where a quite-popular waterfall is located. Malabsay Falls can be reached via private vehicle or chartered tricycle about 45 minutes from Naga City proper. It involved a little bit of a trek (about 15-25 minutes) but nothing technical or difficult. We went in our casual wear.
We've seen dozens of waterfalls in various places in the Philippines and abroad but each has its own unique beauty and allure. In fact, just the last 2 days we've been to at least half a dozen waterfalls all in CamSur. They're all beautiful. Malabsay is no exception.
