⛺️Vara a început și micile noastre vacanțe continuă. 🚐

* Italia
* Rumania
* Rusia
* Ucrania
* Y últimamente, España
* Ucrania
* Rumania
* Rusia
* Y Turquía

The Prut is a 953 km (592 mi) long river in Eastern Europe. It is a left tributary of the Danube. In part of its course, it forms Romania's border with Moldova and Ukraine. The Prut originates on the eastern slope of Mount Hoverla, in the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast). Having reached the border between Moldova and Romania, it turns even more to the south-east, and then to the south.
Exploring the Enchanting City of Gori, Georgia -
Step into the ancient realm of Georgia's historic city, Gori, as we embark on a captivating journey through time with Onmymind.ge. Located 77 km west of Tbilisi, Gori boasts a mesmerizing blend of rich heritage and stunning landscapes.
In the Kartli Valley, where the Kura River converges with the Bolshaya Liakhvi tributary, lies the charming city of Gori, embraced by majestic mountains from the south and west. This enchanting destination is the heart of the Shida-Kartli region and its namesake municipality.
In 1946, a landslide on the northern wall of Goris-cihe exposed layers of ancient antiquities, including ceramic pottery typical of the Kura-Arak culture, thin-walled clay kvevri vessels, red-colored roof tiles, and pottery fragments made of fired red clay. Archaeological materials indicate that urban-type settlements existed in this area long before the beginning of our era, starting from the early Bronze Age. Ancient burials discovered in the eastern part of Goris-cihe date back to the 1st century BCE to the beginning of our era. The burials contained fragments of clay pottery, necklaces, coins, bracelets, and other ornaments.
In 1292, the Alans, led by Prince Bagatar, captured the fortified city of Gori and its surrounding fortifications and settlements. In 1306, the last Alan king, Bagatar, perished. Georgian King George V fought against the Alan-Ossetians and, after a three-year siege, captured Gori in 1326. Pursuing the Ossetians, George V reached the Daryal, Aragvi, and Ksani gorges.
By the end of the 16th century, Gori became a stronghold of Ottoman Turkish power. In 1599, Georgian King Simon I unexpectedly attacked Gori, taking it by storm and eliminating the Ottoman garrison.
In 1614, Iranian Shah Abbas I captured Gori and used it as a base for further conquest of the country. According to the French traveler Jean Chardin, by the 1670s, Gori had become a significant trading center.
In 1723, the city was ravaged again by the Ottoman Turks. For several years, the city remained under their control, and in 1735, it came under Persian rule.
In the 1740s, the city was finally liberated from the conquerors. Throughout the 19th century, Armenians, Ossetians from the Liakhvi Gorge, Pontic Greeks, Jews, and Russians settled in the city.
Until 1917, Gori was an important spiritual, educational, commercial, and artisan city. After the Tiflis Uyezd, Gori became the most significant trading city in the entire province. The production of woolen fabrics, various crafts, lime burning, and fishing thrived in the city. The Transcaucasian Railway passed through the uyezd for about 94 versts, and there was also a highway connecting Akhaltsikhe with the Mikhailovo railway station.
On February 20, 1920, one of the most tragic days in Gori's history occurred when a severe earthquake practically destroyed the city. Almost all churches and secular buildings disappeared, and Goris-cihe suffered serious damage. The streets were buried under the rubble of buildings, and clouds of dust rose above the city. 95% of the buildings in Gori and nearby settlements were destroyed. As a result of the disaster, 115 people died, and 7,118 families were affected. Consequently, most of the buildings that we see in the city today were constructed during the Soviet period.
Join us on a visual expedition of Gori's wonders! Traverse the captivating Goris-Tsikhe Fortress, the monumental Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (formerly the Catholic Church of St. Mary), the serene Yakob Gogebashvili Garden, and the timeless Church of the Archangels Gabriel and Michael.
Experience Gori's vivid culture as we wander through the restored heart of the city, nestled at the foot of the fortress. And don't miss the opportunity to savor the iconic Gori kotleti (cutlets) - a culinary delight that reflects the flavors of this enchanting Georgian city.
Immerse yourself in the spirit of exploration and discover the allure of Gori, Georgia with Onmymind.ge. As we venture through time, Gori's fascinating tales will leave you captivated and yearning for more.
