Millions of tourists visit Florida every year to see its famous Pink Tower, which is famous for its location on the city's beaches. Where you can find a dolphin’s paradise along the coast. You must visit Florida's oldest and largest State Park where colorful butterflies can be seen welcoming tourists.
Tucson.
Since 2005, It has been nominated by UNESCO as Tucson City War. Tucson is home to a diverse population because the city is historically so old that it is being inhabited by a variety of ethnic groups; including Tucson, Native American, Mexican, and Colonial Spanish. What are your thoughts on our list!? How much do you agree or disagree? :)
For those of you don't know or are new to our channel, Lauren and I both are from the outskirts of Winston-Salem, North Carolina originally, but we actually met for the first time in Virginia. That's a funny story for another time! For now, we wanted to talk about our home state and the absolute best cities there, and the highlights that make them so great. North Carolina is an awesome state with so much to do and a lot of variety.
Now obviously this is a #short so we had to make the highlights brief, but we have a full-length video coming on this topic! If you enjoy, make sure to like and subscribe. It's free and easy and it really helps us out.
Honorable mentions:
*Fayetteville: Surprising highlights include a geologically rare natural waterfall near the city with a zip-line over it. Still relatively little known. It also has a picturesque historic downtown.
*Greenville: Although it's mostly just a college town that also happens to have great local healthcare, it absolutely shouldn't be skipped over entirely. First off: it's one of the rare sizable NC cities with a river running right next to the downtown. (Great kayaking) It also has some great greenways, places to eat, fantastic weather, and friendly residents. (Some more famous than others... the YouTube sensation Mr. Beast is actually based in Greenville.) As a side note: it's only a short drive from small town gems like Washington and NC's oldest European settlement town, Bath. It also has super cheap housing. It's still no Greenville, SC, but let's be honest...few cities are!
*High Point: So some may argue that there's not too much to be said for this city BUT it's still located in the great state of North Carolina, so that's something. Plus, where else can call itself the furniture capital of the world AND have the world's largest dresser!? It's also home to Wet'n Wild Water Park, so you can go get soaking wet, and that's not counting when you wet yourself at Kersey Valley Spookywoods, lol. Throw in the fact that it's affordable and has some nice local parks and it's definitely not all bad.
*Cary: Let's be real, it has some great quality of life. All the comforts of a big city while maintaining a small town feeling, great parks and greenways, delicious food, a Korean H-Mart...what more could you ask for and why isn't Cary on the list!? Well, while Cary is super great, it lacks things that set it apart on its own without other cities in the Triangle. It ends up feeling like a super nice suburb to the point where you find it hard to believe it's a city of 160k+ people. That's not to throw shade, but even if it were people in Cary probably wouldn't mind...they're too busy enjoying their perfect parks and amazing food scene. Another con of Cary is it's pretty darn pricey!
ALSO: If you're wondering why you don't see cities like Chapel Hill or New Bern on the list, they had a smaller population and NC has so many great small cities that we're going to make another video for them. (Population 75k or less) Trust us, we absolutely love them too!
