RARE Piccadilly Line Destination Announcement #shorts
The Piccadilly Line runs between Cockfosters and Heathrow Terminals, and Uxbridge, with regular services stopping short at stations such as Arnos Grove, Rayners Land and Northfields. Hammersmith is the original terminus of the line when it first opened, and is sometimes used as such during days of engineering works. However, none was happening on this day, so is a pretty rare terminus to get.
360°-Stone Bridge Phase IV, Haskell/Latimer Co., OK Timelapse
Stone Bridge lies within the incredible San Bois Mountains just north of Red Oak, Oklahoma, on the Latimer/Haskell County line. This development offers a variety of different terrain to fit your recreational needs, and features mountainous topography that creates a great sanctuary for the deer, turkeys and bear in this area. There is a very large creek through the middle of Stonebridge with wet weather creeks throughout, and this area receives 50 inches of rainfall annually so water shouldn't be a problem. If you like to hike or rock climb there is even an area with a sheer rock face and this whole area would be great for hiking. All of these tracts would be great for ATV or horseback trail riding, and the surrounding area is just full of recreational possibilities; whether its exploring Robbers Cave State Park or the winter trout fishing on Fourche Maline River, just west of Wilburton.

Places to see in ( Wilmington - USA )
Places to see in ( Wilmington - USA )
Wilmington is a port city in North Carolina. It’s known as a gateway to Cape Fear Coast beaches like Wrightsville, with its strong surf, and Carolina, with its long boardwalk. Part of downtown’s Historic District, the Riverwalk is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. It runs along the Cape Fear River, where the Battleship North Carolina is moored. Artifacts on the ship explore WWII naval combat history.
Wilmington was settled by the English along the Cape Fear River. The city was named after Spencer Compton who was the Earl of Wilmington. Its historic downtown has a 1.75-mile (2.82 km) Riverwalk, developed as a tourist attraction in the late 20th century. In 2014 Wilmington's riverfront was ranked as the Best American Riverfront by readers of USA Today. It is minutes away from nearby beaches. The National Trust for Historic Preservation selected Wilmington as one of its 2008 Dozen Distinctive Destinations. City residents live between the river and the ocean, with four nearby beach communities: Fort Fisher, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, all within half-hour drives from downtown Wilmington.
Wilmington is the home of EUE Screen Gems Studios, the largest domestic television and movie production facility outside California. Dream Stage 10, the facility's newest sound stage, is the third-largest in the US. It houses the largest special-effects water tank in North America. Numerous movies in a range of genres and several television series have been produced here, including Maximum Overdrive, Iron Man 3, Fox's Sleepy Hollow, One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek and NBC's Revolution.

Lewis Latimer, Edison Pioneer
Join us to explore the fascinating story of Lewis Latimer. The son of escaped slaves, Latimer was an accomplished draftsman and inventor who worked for Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison. He was the only African American member of the Edison Pioneers, a celebrated group of Edison’s earliest staff and colleagues.
142: Lewis Howard Latimer
In today's episode of Hometown History, we delve into the life of Lewis Howard Latimer, an unsung hero whose inventions and technical skills significantly influenced the development of electric lighting and telecommunications. Despite his crucial work with Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison, Latimer's contributions have often been overshadowed. His innovations in improving lightbulb filament durability and efficiency changed how we light our world, yet his name remains lesser-known.
Lewis Latimer's story is remarkable not only for his scientific achievements but also for his perseverance against racial prejudice. From humble beginnings as the son of escaped slaves to becoming Edison's trusted chief draftsman and a pioneer in electrical engineering, Latimer broke barriers and paved the way for future generations. Join us on Hometown History as we celebrate Latimer's legacy, a testament to the enduring power of innovation and courage in the face of adversity.
